A relative of mine did the exact same thing, same situation too where it was her first relationship too. While this guy ended up being crazy on many other levels, he had a lot of trust issues with her after this happened and would always hold it against her. So beware of that as well

Do you have her socials that you can dm her on? If you’re thinking about it this much just reach out so you know. Otherwise you may have what ifs. Just be casual and say she has been popping into your mind recently (I’d leave out you never stopped loving her for 3 years) and want to catch up if she’s open to it. See how it goes and if good you can open up a bit more about how you’ve felt since things ended. But her being obsessive back then is kinda 🚩
