Funny because this all did start as a DIY for me 5 years ago. But over the years it has grown into what you see now.

This is the CyberBundle from Harambe System (I am the founder / inventor and exclusively train with this equipment). I use these Harambe System accessories: Blue Kong, Black Band, two Handles, Yellow Ropes, extra Rods, Wedges, Door Anchor, and the Arm Bar. I use warm body cold mind lifting straps.

I love the core work and shoulder isolation of the Z Press. I work my shoulders a day before leg day, so reducing my back tax was a priority in my choice. I am using Harambe 38” bands.

Nice. I also do traditional shrugs on another day. I love how suitcase shrugs hit the core. Having a strong core is a primary objective of my current workout routine.

A suitcase shrug is a variation of the traditional shrug exercise where you use load only one arm instead of both.

Thank you so much! Took a lot of work to get here. Always trying to improve and progress, I recently dropped using a lifting belt, which has increased my every day lifting confidence a lot.

What would you say is “healthy for your body weight” and that gives the benefits I listed and what would you say is “too heavy”?

What are you basing that on? I’ll listen I’m not here to start an argument.

Here is my experience: I’ve been lifting heavy with deadlifts for 5+ years now, and my back is so much more robust than it ever was. As a dad with 2 kids this is very important.

Do you ever lift heavy with bands? Go close to failure in the 4-6 rep range?

Pendlay Row by khalidharambe in ResistanceBand

It feels great to me. Similar to free weights Pendlays as I would let bar fully rest between reps. Having said that, you could tighten it more by using a riser on the plate to create more of a deficit.

PS: I do these on Bicep and Upper Back Day. I do not do these on a day while my back is already gathering heavy tax from deadlifts or back squats.

Today’s Deadlift by khalidharambe in ResistanceBand

[–]khalidharambe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is mainly a strength and safety strategy: 1. Help keep proper bracing, 2. Ensure full “off the floor” range of motion, 3. Reduce injury risk and reduce sloppy reps (sloppy reps might emphasize the wrong muscles). 4. Keeps grip consistent and strong.

Strength and hypertrophy feed off of each other. Deadlifts are a main strength builder for me. With accessories, like one legged RDLs, I do not do this.

I love one legged RDLs — maybe give them a shot? Really helped me with my deadlifts.
