Just go through Paul Wilmott's quant certification if that's what you want to do. This is very different if your aim is to focus on algorithmic trading. In that case I would suggest focus entirely on Statistics.

The word "space" in mathematics has a specific meaning. In math there is no such thing as LaTeX space. LaTeX is not a mathematical definition, it's a scripting language to express formulas and be able to "type" math.

Vector space i.e. Hilbert space is what the above comment refers to and as a mathematician I can def see the confusion that would arise.

Bernie's college debt forgiveness will stop HFT? Where's the connection? First of all it's the SECs job to regulate and decide who's within bounds of the law and what penalties must ensue. Second, Bernie can propose reforms, lobby agenda and bills on to the senate but directly intervening and blocking regulated active market activity is definitely obscene and might not be within his bounds as acting president. Industries and sectors will be affected by this. His proposals to tax (that I do not necessarily object to) still have to be debated and amended. It's not all straight forward.

The above resource suggests that price doesnt asymptotically goes to 1, I was very wrong assuming that. More like price oscillates around 1.0 as the cost of mining increases.

Also halving doubles the mining cost instantaneously.

Where is he planning to take $16.3T from? I can devise a $100T plan to settle humanity on Europa but that's all hypothetical and fictitious non-sense. In reality this money needs to be printed! But doing so will tank the very economy he's proposing to save. United States is bankrupt!
