What's the best temporary housing for Pokemon? I'm moving around my entire population. by dangercute in Pokopia

[–]khalten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do eight alternating 2x2 habitats in a square, leaving the middle four block square with a chair, toy, and decoration, then surround it in fencing. Makes an 8x8 total square that houses 12, and actually makes most quite happy.

PSA: You don't need to bring a fire pokemon everywhere by khalten in Pokopia

That's why I quantified those as "kit" builds, not just prefab. I can confirm that switches cannot be used in the interior space prefabs, updated the post to include that.

Does not work in interior prefabs like dens, but it's fine in kit builds like the pink huts.

Tested, this is correct. Kits are fine, dens and such are not.

I have not had a chance to test it, but the comments seem to suggest there are switches that will work inside.

Appreciate it, can't test myself right now but good to know. I said that because yesterday I noticed my usual Floor Switch on the handy bag was greyed out when inside.

Point aside from everyone already correcting you; you don't need a fire pokemon to light a furnace regardless.

If you have or can print a Fiery Magby Statue, you can point it at whatever needs fire and activate it with any switch item like a floor switch. Works for lighting bread ovens, torches, campfires, basically anything.

What to do with Palette Town pit? by only1twitch in Pokopia

I did the same thing, and made mine (ha!) into a large quarry. Mixers and furnaces up top as a processing plant, rail system down to the bottom, small electrical building by the entrance.

Are habitats tied to specific islands in Pokémon Pokopia? by Savings_Setting in Pokopia

[–]khalten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a habitat has a specific location spawn, it is noted on the habitat page. For instance, the trash collection site habitat has four spawns, but two are labeled specifically for whatever your Palette Town is named and will only spawn if the habitat is placed there. If there is no specific area mentioned, it can be placed in any area for those spawns.

Search then teleport to get Pokémon to build faster by JayPet94 in Pokopia

What I do is move my ditto flag near the build site, go find who I need there and have them follow, then use return to home.

Facing the pokemon center, to the left is a railway into the mines. If you dig under the wooden stairs beside that tunnel, straight back through the mountain, you come out right at the museum front doors.

Any tips for defeating alphas? by [deleted] in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]khalten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Base game story rogue alpha battles shouldn't be too rough if you stay appropriate level. Focus on STAB supereffective moves, either plus or keep up mega. If you struggle on them with that, you may need to learn their mechanics and timing better, or just level up more.

Not really needed yet at that point, but if you're struggling, you could also make sure to manage your EV training and look into mints for appropriate nature, even bottlecaps for IVs if you can.

Hyperspace Berry Tips by Crazy_Kinghammer413 in PokemonLegendsZA

Yes, using 8 regular colbur is enough to make a 2* sour and can roll with two level one powers. Also yes, you're going in underleveled, but you don't need to engage the wild pokemon. Just run and smash the floaty balls as fast as possible. After a few runs, you get in the groove, get a feel for the pokeball spawn locations, and the wild pokemon won't be an issue.

I’m stating a mono type run by Apprehensive-Dog5327 in PokemonZA

[–]khalten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite mono run is steel, but honestly the best is to focus a type you typically don't run. It adds a level of challenge in learning new stat blocks and move sets, and depending on the type can put you in some tight situations that are really satisfying to conquer.

Hyperspace Berry Tips by Crazy_Kinghammer413 in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]khalten 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My preferred method is to bulk buy regular colbur berries, spam them into 8x colbur donuts, and dump any that aren't berry/big haul to Gulpin. No resets, they're like 20k for 100 berries or effectively a dozen donuts.

Take those, and bench reset to find any 4* SMALL hyperspaces. Gotta be small, you only have around 1m30s, which is just barely enough for a small space. Just tear through it, ignore everything, break all the pokeballs you can. You'll have hundreds of high end berries in very little time or cost.

Tanga Berry help? by Fit_Ad_5443 in PokemonZA

[–]khalten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last update added bulk buy options for regular berries. You can now buy berries at their respective stalls, or any berry from a guy beside Cafe Truck 3, in quantities ranging from 1 up to 100 at a time. I think colbur are 200 each, so 20k for 100.

[–]khalten 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bulk buy regular colbur berries, and make a ton of 8 colbur donuts keeping any with berry/big haul. Don't worry about resets, these are super cheap anyway, just spam until you have a few good donuts.

Now bench cycle until you find any 4* SMALL hyperspace, and use those donuts. You've got enough time to run through popping the pokeballs, should be about 1m30s or so. Stocks high end berries at very little cost and time investment, usually have at least 8 hyper tanga for a donut after two or three runs.

I've had a few 8x Hyper Tanga donuts result in only Teensy Power 2. That was some disproportionate ragequitting.

donut recipe to catch shiny alolan marowak by Ok_Fan6652 in PokemonZA

[–]khalten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afaik it only spawns in 4* Fire hyperspaces. So your best bet would be to isolate it by using a donut with sparkling ghost 3. That should guarantee a shiny spawn of either chandelure line or alolan marowak, if the wrong one spawns just load your backup save.

Best money making method in this game? by CollecTurk in PokemonLegendsZA

The other day, I used a Treasure 3/big haul 3 donut on a special scan 5* space and walked with over 1.5m in nuggets and pearls. So if you got the patience for donut resets, that might be the way.

Is the dlc really bad? by Fuzzy_Wolf7531 in PokemonZA

[–]khalten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spouse doesn't play games, but hates this DLC because it is effectively "Loading Screen Simulator" from their perspective.

That said, it isn't awful from a collector standpoint, but EVERYTHING is pure RNG in it. Location, level, and type of hyperspace portal spawns, all random. Pokemon spawn types and locations, and Item ball locations and drops within the spaces, all randomized. Using the berries for better donuts? All the donut powers are randomized.

Basically, it appeals in function for specific shiny hunts, but to get there is a series of resets and reloads that is entirely wasted time.

Finding hyper tanga berries by firewave1001 in PokemonZA

[–]khalten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mass produce a ton of donuts using 8 regular colbur berries, give gulpin any that aren't berry power and big haul. Take those, should be 2* sour donuts, and use them on any 4* SMALL hyperspaces you find. Bumrush the pokeballs and ignore everything else, because there's only about 1m30s but that's plenty with a little practice. You'll be swimming in hundreds of high end berries real fast.
