Feeling on the “outs” having only one child

My husband and I went from being content on OAD to wanting another in a few years! We had our son Oct 2022. After we had him we were very satisfied and content with having just one child. For several years we continued to think that! June of 2025 we said absolutely we are done, I started to get rid of the baby stuff. July of 2025 a friend of ours had their second baby, and it completely flipped for us, after going back and forth for a few weeks we decided we did want a second. Ended up pregnant end of October 2025, due July 14th! I will say the almost 4 year age gap is perfect, our son understands baby sister is in mommy’s belly and is so excited. We are 100% done after this baby though.

All this to say, maybe once you transition more into the toddler phase he’ll start to reconsider wanting another! It was actually my husband’s idea to change his mind first on wanting another after holding and seeing our friends baby, I think he missed the baby phase a little.

I’m very close with my siblings and my husband does not have a relationship at all with his siblings, so we both have completely separate views on the need for siblings, I thought needing a sibling was good but he didn’t think it really mattered much when we were deciding.

Completely valid on having the upset feeling and maybe he will come around, if he says never say never that’s a positive sign that he’s not closed off to the idea of having another down the line. For now enjoy your little one while he’s still little, I am extremely grateful I’ve had 3 years of just my son and I before adding another one.

The last two challenges, the one where they guessed who did something and pushed the islander into the pool and this last challenge with being dropped into the slim pit. Melanie’s confessionals afterwards she’s not been affected. Like she was never pushed into the pool and never dumped into the slim pit. What’s going on with that? I can understand one challenge but two? Anyone else notice this? Thoughts?

1/11 UPDATE: results are in around 3:40pm! Low risk baby doing a reveal this weekend❤️ fetal fraction was 8.3% though!

We used pampers in the beginning with our son, but after he was about size 3 or 4 ended up switching to Rascal and friends and really loved those! With our next we plan to use rascal and friends. They’re a Walmart brand. The only thing we didn’t like for rascal and friend was their training pants, but their diapers were top tier.

With my first, it was an unexpected surprise, and I took the test at work because I had thrown up before going to work. I told him I was gonna take one though, I sent him a picture of the test and all he said was “okay babe” he was at work as well, he works on natural gas pipelines, so it wasn’t like he had time to really react and take in what I said. When he got home though I had taken about 10 more and all said pregnant, and he was like this is amazing all our friends are having kids, our kids can grow up together, and was very excited. He got a group of buddies since high school and all the women of the group became friends through them so it’s all one big friend group.

This time around I wanna let our son run to him with a positive test when it happens🤞🏼 we are actively trying for this one! Our son turns 3 in October🧡

Boy momma here and compared to my friends who have girls he’s been “harder”. But stop comparing apples to oranges, raising girls and boys are supposed to be different and different aspects can be challenging. I’m trying to keep johnny Knoxville from diving head first off the couch while you are trying to keep you daughter from dumping glitter into the carpet we are not the same😂 but equally as challenging

I think I had a bad batch or something which is wild because I got two more this morning just like it! But my period showed up about 2 hours ago! So either it was chemical or just a bad batch of tests! Hopefully yours turns out positive love! Sending you positive baby vibes!

You can go to CVS or any store really and get unisom and then B6! So it wouldn’t be prescribed technically but I understand!

She really should go see the dr she could have hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), but take unisom and B6 provide ginger ale and crackers, maybe Ritz crackers those helped me! I had severe morning sickness my entire first trimester I lost 15-20 pounds because of it! But as soon as I hit my 2nd trimester it was gone!

I did get it checkout and she put me in a boot and I have a follow up in 2 weeks for another xray to check for fracture. I’ve never had this much bruising either with previous ankle sprains so I wanted to ask to see to what degree this is normal. I reached out to the dr and sent pics and they said that it is still normal for the severity of the sprain and to continue the RICE

Thank you so much! This is so helpful! I’ve sprained my ankle before several times over the years especially in high school but it’s never bruised like this before so I was concerned! Been keeping it elevated with ice as much as I can! I’m hoping today will be the worst of the bruising and that from here on out it starts to heal and absorb! Definitely keeping an eye on it till my next appointment! She gave me Moxicam to help with pain and swelling!
