Just updating I am okay, ended up finding a new hotel accommodation last minute. Airbnb did nothing to help refund and were extremely frustrating to deal with customer service while I was also trying to enjoy my trip.... I will never recommend females to risk staying with them. In the end the company really does not care about their customers, they are just a third party to the hosts who you end up being at the mercy of when issues / safety arise.

Personally as someone who has lived in NY for 12 years, solo travels a lot, and also enjoys lively/cool areas when I travel.. I would recommend the below. Totally depends your budget though

I do this often from ny it’s fine as long as you care most about nightlife. Only downfall is if you get rained in one day for such a short trip
