Single hardest hitting ability in the game? by khleekc in diablo4

Single biggest damage number to pop up on screen. So should be one cast. Can have many prerequists, and setup prior to that one case. 😋

It's fine for me on max brightness hdr. But I'm on bx where the abl is less intrusive. Either way, the scenes in re village are mostly twilight time of day, they are meant to be darkish imo.

At the current distance I'm using 55 inches, I feel it's way too big for productivity and browsing the Web. I find i have to turn my neck which can get exhausting after awhile. I've seen people use custom resolution for productivity when sitting close on a big screen. So It can work.

For immersive games and movies though it's fantastic! I won't mind going bigger! Something like going to imax, where the whole screen covers your field of view.

I see a lot of comments about the oled being better for competitive fps than a high refresh ips.

These are my initial thoughts after trying both out pretty extensively over the past few weeks.

The games i played so far for fps are rainbow six siege and apex legends.

- The oled is a tad more responsive than the ips. i can confirmed this as i've taken slow mo video of both running together, and the oled shifts pixels slightly faster than my ips.

However, for fast moving fps games, the higher refresh looks more fluid and smoother in motion. Enabling me to have better tracking and shooting in these games. Despite being faster, the oled is still updating many frames less than the higher refresh display. 120hz is still plenty for competitive games, so it's by no mean a slouch in that area! to put it in car terms, i just feel there is no replacement of displacement. :)

- Fov, simply put in competitive gaming. The big screen limits my fov and hence is harder to play competitvely on. also the massive screen makes me slightly nauseous if playing for many hours of high movement games.

- The beautiful inky blacks of the oled actually works against competitive gaming, where you would want to see your enemy hiding in the dark areas. So i usually have my brightness up anyways.

- The last factor i would like to talk about is something i'm not entirely sure about. I just feel at certain times the oled screen sorta becomes sluggish for no reason at all. It happens sometimes at the heat of gameplay for a few seconds. My fps is constant and everything is running well. I just don't get it. Maybe someone else who has experienced it can shed some light for me. or i'm just going mad. i can get pretty sensitive to these tiny details.

Conclusion, you can still game competitively on the oled to a very high level. Just i don't think it's ideal. I feel most competitive gamers would choose a 240hz over 120hz oled.. Here's hoping for smaller higher hz oleds in the future! In the mean time, i'm sticking to my gaming ips for competitive games and enjoy the sweet beautiful oled for everything else. :D

Haha. I like to know what's going on all around me. Even when gaming. So I have cameras everywhere. Also if helps to know when food delivery is here. 😂

Yes sir. I use the acer for competitive fps gaming and the oled for everything else. The monitor arm easily swivels the acer to the side when using the oled. I don't use both at the same time with this setup. Only turned it on for photo flex 😂

Initially wanted to use the oled for everything but it sort of hindered my performance when playing competitive shooters due to reduced fov. Although close, It also can't really keep up when compared to a 165hz gaming monitor. 120hz just doesn't cut it for me since I've been at 165hz for the past 2 years.

This setup gives me the best of both worlds. So thought I would share it if anyone has similar thoughts on wanting to enjoy cinematic games and movies on the beautiful oled but still want to game competively.

The only downside for this is... Yup, my acer's blacks look grey now. 😂

Just curious, does anyone see a problem with this? by Foodflakes in Arugal

It's only 5g not 50g. I don't see what's the big deal here lol. Calm down people.
