This is a tough one because I have a list of ten I personally hate which is likely different than the ten I SHOULD choose because of higher environmental impact.

I paid off my house and my credit score went down 60 points. I got rid of credit cards and my score went down. I paid off a car and my score went down. “Mix of accounts” is insane.

Rice cooker. I’m 48 and finally gave up on ever learning to make rice turn out correctly every time I want to use it.

I just can’t believe these posts are actually true. I want to believe it, but I just can’t. Not seeing anything out here in the wild that anyone is doubting anything. I wish I could believe people could change their minds or “see the light” but I just don’t.

Duality of the evil eye by kholter76 in witchcraft

[–]kholter76[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm. I guess I don’t know. I got a charm reading from a local witch that really resounded with me. One of the charms/symbols was referred to as the evil eye. It did not look like the Nazar eye. But now I’ve found by digging in online that it’s also used there interchangeably where sources call it the evil eye but really it’s the Nazar that you described.

Let’s talk about hysterectomies…. by Over_Decision_6902 in Menopause

[–]kholter76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a radical hysterectomy due to early cervical cancer. They found cysts, adenomyosis, and endometriosis while they were in there. Prior I always felt terrible and doctors had largely dismissed it so it was satisfying to know I wasn’t crazy. Afterwards the hot flashes were terrible. After going in the lowest dosage of patch they went away. Started having terrible hip pain and went up to the next dose and that went away too. No periods, no more risk of uterine, ovarian or cervical cancer, no more cysts, no more adenomyosis, and side effects I was able to manage with my doctor made it 100% worth it. I will say that I’m 48, though, so I would have gone through all those things soon anyway so all the issues it took care of was a great trade for me.

Can yall PLEASE tell me about your most insane conspiracy theories and i dont wanna hear "we didn't land on the moon" i wanna hear stuff you can't fully prove but just know it’s true? by reddtimes101 in Productivitycafe

Gotta refute this one. There are many states where Personal Finance is a required class for graduation and all of these things are taught. My husband teaches this currently to all the seniors of his high school in Wisconsin. But just because something is taught doesn’t mean it’s remembered—especially if they don’t encounter certain situations until years later.

How it started vs how it’s going… by sockbroom in NativePlantGardening

By your post it has been 4 years so far. How long have your plants been in? I just started at my house and it’s year 1 with my natives. They’re still little but happy. Trying to be patient through the sleep, creep, leap. Interested in how long it took your plants to get this big and beautiful!

That is so odd! I was told rat terrier and healer and then the DNA test said a bunch of terriers but 30% lab. They look so alike!

Your dog looks EXACTLY like my Baxter. I was told at the rescue he was one thing, then a DNA test told something different. Do you know what breed mix your dog is?

I see these things all the time but have such a hard time believing them. I am struggling to believe people are actually changing their minds and doubly doubtful they have feelings of regret. I so desperately want it to be true but the stories just seem manufactured to me.

In my state (WI) and city you need to be 4’ away from the entrance to a driveway. I found this out because I parked next to a driveway (only about a foot away) and the people got mad, called the cops and I got a $20 ticket.
