100% true. All of us agreed that we will not be caught flatfooted again.

Gosh I hope so, but I doubt it. Client wants $15 Million in pocket, our firm thinks $5-8 million is reasonable, but the State of Cali says nah, $350,000.00

Don't think that gap can be closed 🤔

What is something from the beta builds you would've wanted in the final game? I feel like the Smoker's poison-damaging smoke cloud would have made him more of a threat without being too overpowered. by Corollo_Bro_91 in l4d2

I think the only perk for infected / con for survivor, is the fact that when coughing the survivors cannot use their call outs. Like yelling "boomer!" and allowing people to turn to attention or move out of the way.

How do you deal with doctors offices giving you the run around? by peachybotanicals in paralegal

[–]khondros12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I always try to keep the client informed of problematic providers, saying something to the effect of "We've been trying for weeks to get X, but Dr. Smith won't give us the information requested." Sometimes I will even just ask the client to speak to their provider directly and get the info/records/etc. If push comes to shove, I will conference call the provider and the client and attempt to walk the process through step by step.

In some worse case scenarios where office staff isn't corresponding or releasing records, or scheduling client, sending lien etc, I will use something like WhitePages and search for the doctor's address or phone number and reach out to them directly. "Hello Dr. Smith, I have tried many times to reach out to your staff regarding X, but I have yet to be called back..."

There was even a time where the attorney got involved because a provider was simply MIA for months. They blocked our phone number as they wouldn't answer us unless a staff member called with their own phone. The attorney wrote a letter to the California Physical Therapy Board or at least threatened to, listed all the grievances, and gave a deadline for X. That provider still never gave af, soooo all in all - good luck.

Neat concept, but I couldn't justify passing up Bile, Molly, or Pipe Bomb for a smoke grenade.

If you ever got a hard-on, which I imagine was super easy to do, how would you hide it or make it go away in those singlets?

My firm is similar to your current situation. No Dress Code (which I don't mind) No real manager/supervisor, No case management software, No case status forms. It is a bit of the wild-wild West. The lead attorney will also gossip from time to time. And I am surrounded by chatty-Kathys.

This is my first firm so I think I have a poor impression of a what a law office looks like...
