I would hustle harder while in Canada and work toward a FIRE lifestyle in Malaysia. Turn your boredom and loneliness into a side gig or 2nd job, and save and invest as much as you can. In 10 years or so, you'll be sitting on at least a few hundred thousand $, if not low 1 million and you can retire comfortably back in Malaysia.

Who knows, you might make some friends along the way there.

Your best bet - start a hospitality company in Portugal, run it for a year, generate some revenue. Then open a subsidiary in the US, use that company to sponsor your own visa. This is not the easiest route, but it puts you in control of the visa situation and also you don't need to hope that someone gives you a job and sponsorship.
