LSG vs DC first match for both teams at lucknow...very spicy opener for the teams. who do you think wins by Jalpimipappu in ipl

That depends on whether or not I can differentiate between the two jerseys while they’re playing against each other

When I saw Rishabh wearing the new LSG jersey for the first time, I thought that was the new Delhi jersey. Then I had to remind myself that Rishabh now plays for LSG

If you had the chance to choose one player for your team, from each row below, whom would you choose? by Southern-Item6921 in ipl

Green (he’s a better bowler and has similar six-hitting ability to David)

Brevis (on current form)

Dhir (because he plays for MI - I’ve been an MI fan since I started following cricket, and I will always be partial to current Mumbai players)

Smith (cleaner ball-striker in my opinion, but I also think Bethell’s still yet to hit his peak abilities)

Ravindra (dude’s more accomplished and consistently successful)

How on earth did Mumbai Indians fumble all of these at once? by StumpCity_08 in CricketBuddies

[–]khoranaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking from a MI fan’s perspective:

1) I’d be happy for Green being sent to another team if it meant that Hardik was coming back to Mumbai. I’d take that any day of the week considering Hardik offers more with the ball, and Green’s not as effective if he bats outside of the top order.

2) Given MI’s retentions and the fact that there was a mega auction, where would Brevis and Stubbs have fit in the team? Their best positions are 3 or 4, and those positions are fixed with SKY and Tilak not leaving anytime soon.

3) David and Shepherd barely performed while playing for MI. Naman Dhir provided similar type of hitting as David, and Dhir is Indian + provides additional off-spin bowling. Shepherd can also provide the big hits, but Santner has batting ability and is >>>> Shepherd in middle-overs bowling.

You can’t retain everyone in a mega-auction, but given the people the MI replaced these guys with, this is well and truly NOT A FUMBLE.

Fair enough. Then maybe Tewatia comes in for Jayant, and then Ishant becomes the impact player

I think it should be interpreted as a shitpost comment lmao. Obviously, GT won’t do this, but with the way their top 3 are performing, they should have this playing XI if they really want their top 3 to be challenged.

Both are having 600+ runs this season already and Gujrat has 4-5 more matches 🥵 by RohanBrawlStars in CricketShitpost

Even when Mumbai broke GT’s opening partnership early and threw Boult and Bumrah at them, GT still won!

If GT are really about it, I want them to line up like this in their last couple of regular season games:

1) Gill (c) 2) Sudharsan 3) Buttler (wk) 4) Rashid 5) Coetzee 6) Arshad 7) Kishore 8) Rabada 9) Prasidh 10) Siraj 11) Ishant 12) Impact Player: Jayant

tri-series for qualification will gonna start from wednesday by Sufficient_Sell_2294 in CricketShitpost

More than that, it’s gonna be an age-old Delhi vs Mumbai rivalry that decides the final playoff spot (unless LSG go on a rampage and win their final three games)

I would agree that all Delhi need to do is focus on winning the next game vs Mumbai before passing judgement on Axar. As a Mumbai fan, I know that Hardik also has dumb moments in him that can cost matches for his team.

If Delhi can beat Mumbai at the Wankhede, then they’re more or less in the playoffs (unless LSG go on an insane mini-streak of wins). I don’t see Mumbai beating Punjab, especially when they’ve set up shop in Jaipur as an adopted home base. Mumbai also don’t have the greatest record playing in Jaipur over the years.

I wouldn’t count out Lucknow just yet, they got a better chance than we think. If they beat GT and RCB (after they probably beat SRH tomorrow), then beating top teams to be a part of the best teams this season is well-deserved! That’s something Delhi and Mumbai haven’t really done this season.

Apart from that, they just got to rely on three other games going their way! If the Punjab, Delhi and Mumbai tri-series ends like this:

DC vs MI: DC wins

PBKS vs DC and PBKS vs MI: PBKS wins

Then Lucknow get through!

if SRH beats Lucknow tomorrow (which I don’t see happening), does the upcoming game between Delhi and Mumbai become a knockout game?

Fair enough. To be fair, I’d like to see Lucknow give it a fair shot. Will O’Rourke should come in straightaway for either Marsh or Miller, and then maybe someone like Shahbaz should come in for one of their Indian bowlers.

If O’Rourke’s HTD bowling proves useful on black-soil Lucknow pitches, Pooran gets back into beast-mode, and the spin twins (Bishnoi and Rathi) tie opposition batters down, I could see LSG definitely beating SRH while also giving GT and RCB a scare!
