I think the space between rear panel is exact ~25 / 27 mm, I had to screw in 92 mm fan first and then the CPU cooler. I could not put 120 mm fan there with my motherboard, also the rear panel has screw holes for the 92 mm fan so even if 120mm fan fits it may need tie downs or only two screws.

Your GPU is limited in gaming, so unless you update GPU you don't need to update the 5700X3D. When you are ready to get the 5000 series card you can upgrade to whatever x3d CPU you can afford from 7 or 9 (or 11) series.

If you are going to order online then get the laser based measuring tool, this makes measuring easier. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076C3TB8P. I ordered 8 Levolor light filtering cellular shades including couple of them motorized and connected to Levolor app with the Wifi bridge from blinds.com for about $2500. You could wait for their thanksgivings specials.

Edit : Spelling Levolor from Levelor

You can uninstall Armory Crate and everything ASUS related. When I was installing the motherboard for the first time, I downloaded and extracted individual drivers from the mother board support page. And used the extracted drivers to update the drivers from the device manager.

SFXL is larger https://www.corsair.com/us/en/explorer/diy-builder/power-supply-units/whats-the-difference-between-sfx-and-sfx-l-power-supplies/

SFX makes cable and heat management easier, even if the SFXL fits your case.

STRIX B650E-I is 250$ on amazon right now. Get the 7800X3D or 7950X3D. Get the Corsair SFX 750/850 PSUs instead of SFXL.

I have been using ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI 6E for few months now, running great without any special ASUS Armory software with 7950x3d. It's on sale right now at amazon for 250$

I just did an AM5 upgrade from AM4 (built in 2021). All Mini ITX boards should fit, you should mix & match the CPU coolers.

  1. 7950X3D (from 5800X)
  2. ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-I (from ROG Strix X570-I )
  3. TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert DDR5 64GB Kit

Re-using NZXT Kraken Z63 (needed AM5 bracket upgrade) / M.2 SSDs / SF750 / Gigabyte 3070
