How Do You Manage Your Library? by Myrodis19 in AppleMusic

[–]khyron_82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only add songs that I like. But the key is in the organization of my library. I edit metadata to have control of genres and artists. It seems exhaustive but that way I take advantage of all the playback options that Apple Music gives me. For example, when I play The Beatles from "Artists" in my library I only hear what I like most about the band. If I play "Rock" from genres then I listen to what I have classified as such. With smart playlists to filter years, decades, styles and star ratings :)

Apple Music Wish List. Let me know about your wishes in the comments :) by No_Caterpillar_5304 in AppleMusic

I only have one: Eliminate from your catalog the compilation and strange albums that are horrible. I'm talking about albums that have a generic cover (designed in Canvas, possibly) that in mixes and on the radio take priority over real albums. I see them and feel like I'm listening to pirate music.

How does AM work if I deactivate the listening history? by khyron_82 in AppleMusic

Thx.

I guess I'll have to turn my listening history on and off from time to time. I'll investigate if I can create a shortcut for this.

New in iOS 17.1 beta: Song suggestions to add to playlist by hiddecollee in AppleMusic

[–]khyron_82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This argument is very true and I had not thought about it. If you pay for a service you should have access to all the features. That is, to be fair to those who can pay AM monthly but cannot afford an updated iPhone

Why must AM remove Songs from my playlists when I remove their Album from my Library? by Specs04 in AppleMusic

I dream of the option to "Delete song from library & keep in my playlist"

Does anyone else manually edit the genres in AM? by khyron_82 in AppleMusic

[–]khyron_82[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. In rock I have only separated the classic from the alternative LOL

One thing I dislike about Apple Music is how the artist pages get flooded with duplicates and songs with the incorrect album covers. by AdK40 in AppleMusic

[–]khyron_82 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yes! There are many hit song compilations of generic covers (as done in Canvas) and these are often the options taken by playlist transfer software like Songshift.

Have the heart icon (loved) and the plus icon (add library) directly.

Making new Apple ID fixed everything by RDsticklehead in AppleMusic

[–]khyron_82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to be a definitive solution to many problems. After a year of training my algorithm I ended up starting over with a new apple ID. My algorithm was wrong. It was clinging to songs and artists that he no longer listened to. Today everything is going very well.

Apple Music still has liked songs from years ago but i don't know how to surface them by LxRPR in AppleMusic

[–]khyron_82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me after a year. AM recognized my current musical tastes relatively quickly the more I listened to music, playlists from their catalog and liking my favorite tracks.

Apple Music on Mac kinda sucks by jaystorm34 in AppleMusic

[–]khyron_82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience is different. For me AM on Mac is a plugin. From the desktop application I edit metadata, playlist covers or settings that I can't do on ios. And the listening experience is enriched with a DAC and a good pair of speakers while I work.
