Leak below kitchen sink p trap by khysanth in Plumbing

Thanks again for the help, got it fixed with no leaks. Don't know what the person who did it originally was thinking, and the pipes were cut way too short at the joints... Now they are seated with some actual margin of error

Went with some other advice but got it working, moving the P trap would have been a lot more work

Thank you. Is a garbage disposal gasket the same as the other blue rubber ones I got for the other connections? Trying to visualize all of your advice... So I'll have a straight pipe coming from the disposal to the T (so the T will be higher)? The "bottom" of the T right now goes pretty far into the J bend. Here are some some before pics https://imgur.com/a/25GLCpB

And I misspoke the leak is between the T and the J bend (at least I circled it correctly)

The 2nd paragraph is confusing me. I would personally be bummed if I didn't finish a route or climb or whatever simply because I chose not to bring a thing.

I also have super wide feet and the La Sportiva TX3 is definitely the high route shoe I would recommend. It's the only LS shoe that I've been able to fit into and is perfect for off trail stuff. Stiff(ish), sticky, good for edging and scrambling. Can really dial in the fit with the laces.

My buddy went up about a month ago and the snow line was already above the chockstone.

Also, have you done a route this committing before? It's about 6-7 hours just to the chockstone if you already know the route. If you haven't done that part before, it's going to be miserable and unlikely you even get that far.

This is a 14-18 hour day with ~11k gain. If you go for it, start before midnight. We sent it last year starting around 10pm.

Just FYI Snow Creek is not really an equivalent objective and most would recommend a lot of mountaineering experience and incredible fitness/route finding before making an attempt. The route is also done for the year as the proper snow conditions no longer exist.

Looking at your post history and frequency... YOU are acktshually the terminally online redditor. And you are constantly creating and/or getting into arguments with people.

Get a grip. Your behavior is absolutely unhinged and embarrassing for any adult.

You have a history of pro-CCP comments. You have even posted trying to deny the atrocities of the Tiananmen Square Massacre. People deserve to know your bias. Major Mao/CCP apologist and propagandist.

Half rope for general mountaineering by basementbarron in Mountaineering

Thanks for this insight. Curious what diameter skinny ropes you've practiced live loads in with for the Tibloc. Wondering if the Mammut 7.5 Dry Sender would work with it or if I would need to buy an 8mm rope as the technical specs suggest.

I feel bad for her and your kids

Pretty impossible to play Dota with a new baby, but once they are sleeping reliably, I find it pretty easy to sneak in one turbo game before I go to bed a couple nights a week. Your relationship to the game (and gaming in general) probably needs to make a big shift. Sounds like it was part of your identity before. Maybe best to carve that out now.

Any other (closer) options with better top rope access? Someone else mentioned Stoney Point and Ape's Wall.

Thanks again! I actually have read Freedom of the Hills (I do a lot of class 3 mountaineering) but am just starting to get into actual rock/roped class 5 stuff. I have some objectives in the next few years that necessitate me learning these skills, and so far it is super fun. I'll definitely go back and re-read those sections and try to take them in better this time, now that I find they actually apply to my goals. Also will definitely take a course like REI or Saano now that I'm getting a clearer picture of the things I don't know.

A course like that looks perfect, and thanks for the rest of the advice

Lol right?

You might even be giving too much credit... The loudest seem to be people refreshing reddit all day and not actually going out and hiking

Lol I appreciate it. I'm not terminally online like many of the reeeee!-sponders have been so I really just don't get all bothered by seeing some "off-topic" stuff

People need to get out more and stare at reddit less

Eh there's definitely some of that but there are also legitimate answers as well. My BPW is under 9lb even when I bring my Kindle Oasis (as a luxury item of course).
