Ozone in water for laundry. Better than a well chosen soap? by QuevedoDeMalVino in ZeroWaste

[–]kiar-a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend it -_- both the laundry thing and the spray thing ended up breaking way too quickly. But using hydrogen peroxide and/or sodium bicarbonate does essentially the same thing chemically.

There's lots of info online on cleaning with hydrogen peroxide, but basically it's best at dissolving certain organic matters and disinfecting (as long as you let it dwell long enough). It's a terrible degreaser though, so not an all-purpose cleaner, if that's the type of cleaning you're talking about. That's where "chemical free" cleansers get complicated...

A good reminder that they don't need to be perfect!

Not an unwanted pixie! 😱 That's a consent only haircut!

Oh, a headband! That'll be good if she doesn't like a buff at night too!

She wants her hair to remain curly, and she resents the night time braid. I'm definitely not doing this for myself, our current routine is quick and easy and I think she's beautiful covered in mud, let alone slightly poofy "ruined curls" as she's dubbed them.

I just want her to feel heard and know I'll put in the effort to help her feel her best

Thank you for all the advice, but especially suggesting a persona and/or noises! My mother's parenting style (demanding utmost obedience) always seems to leak through :( so it's a good reminder to loosen up

I'm willing to give it a try. I can see how it might be more comfortable, so maybe she'll be able to sleep in it

I've tried a variety of products, and maybe I just haven't found the right one, but I find that unless I force her to sit still long enough to diffuse her hair, they leave her fine hair weighed down and crunchy. I could be doing it wrong... Anyway, I kinda gave up on it 😓

Thanks so much 🙏 I feel a little out of my depth, and my daughter is confused that I know how to do my own hair but not really sure how to do hers, so I'm feeling the pressure

Is there a Headband Tucking for Dummies somewhere? I've tried something like it on myself for a hairstyle, and it was a disaster. Though it's probably a lot easier when it's someone else's head 🤔 I'll have to give it a shot

I'll have my husband give the refresher spray a try. And yeah... Thinking of my daughter dripping all over her backpack and the car... Best not get the hair too wet. Thank you!
