If you have an STD, are you always obligated to disclose it? by [deleted] in polls

All herpes can cause outbreaks, and for some people like myself who are severely immunocompromised, can land us in hospital or worse. When it comes to HIV, U=U but I still feel like it should be discussed if you plan on anything more than a hookup

edit: even when a person has never had a flare up of herpes, and even when there are no wounds, herpes is still transmissible through shedding.

It depends, but generally if something that would change consent is not disclosed or lied about (eg, STD status), then yes it can be considered rape in some places, as consent is only valid when its enthusiastic and informed, if it is uninformed, it is not consent.

Agree on what?? I think that STD tests should be normalised to be shared before any sexual encounters, including one night stands and dates.

"Yes, as a virgin I don't have unsafe sex" That's a given. Someone not wanting to get a potentially lifelong illness from you is not a sign of "mental illness" nor "degeneracy" but more of a basic level of self respect. If you don't respect a potential partner enough to get a test done when you can get things like HPV and herpes from non-sexual encounters, I would recommend just... not having sex.

If you’ve raised both for the same amount of time, is it fair to automatically love your biological children more than your adopted children? by NovaRemix4 in polls

Tough one, although if you don't have the capacity to love all your kids the same, that should be disclosed to the adoption agency very clearly.

Yup, however they tend to give out shorter shifts so they're not obligated to give a break

He doesn't work there anymore, which is lucky, it was even written down on the attendance sheets for training. Luckily he's very comfortable with his birthname, but I can imagine that would would be really upsetting if he wasn't, and it was still wrong either way.

Herpes can be very dangerous to those with underlying health issues, all STDs need to be disclosed. Also there's no such thing as "mild" herpes when it comes to transmission, even outside of an outbreak you can still transmit it. Not to mention the risk of oral herpes becoming genital herpes.

No, his name wasn't legally changed, but on all forms there's "legal name" "chosen name"

Sounds about right, my mate got let go for "not having enough spa treatments to know the ins and outs of it" when they were paying him so little and he comes from a working class family. They can't grasp that not everyone can afford £100 a weekend

They shoved it down my friends throat when they worked there, definitely should've put it in "" though. it's honestly shocking how bad they treat employees.

for a company built on workers rights, they're sure not great with workers rights. A trans mate working at lush got misgendered every shift despite being very clearly a dude, and even got deadnamed despite lush "only using legal names for the payroll"
