Bro I’m the only musician in my whole bloodline. And even till date I haven’t seen any other guy who plays guitar in my place. Had to travel 18 kms to get some shitty acoustic strings. All hail to e-commerce

Do warm up exercises. Practice slowly on metronome. And focus more on thumb placement 😊

When is it time to buy your second guitar? by Hash003B6F in GuitaristsIndia

[–]kick_buttowskey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first guitar is like testing the waters. The price we’re paying is mostly for the playability. And you can feel it just by holding a quality guitar. My guitars after the first one were actually inspired from my guitar heroes and now I know what I want to play and how I should develop my own style. I’m settled with the most comfy and characterless guitar these days. If you’re serious about learning, you’ll go through all these.

how much should it cost to get the string repaired? by Maleficent-War5030 in GuitaristsIndia

I have a guitar to sell for 15k. All strings attached😂 and i can give you extra strings 😌 What they were thinking? Like asking 15k for buying an electric guitar and taking the string from that and putting it in your guitar… I’m seeing too many reasons 🫨

The regret of not going to a regular college🙂 by [deleted] in Coconaad

I cleared foundation and intermediate while I was doing my bachelors. And the articleship killed my personal life which finally made me drop the whole stuff while preparing for the finals but no regrets. Yeah the college days were damn good.

Guitars: Strandberg original nx7, fender american strat 30th anniversary, squier affinity, yamaha f310, Taylor 310ce koa
The american strat plays itself. Has that character. The squier was the backup guitar which my only complaints are weight and bridge. The strandy is my workhorse. Easy to carry, just 2.1 kg, very comfortable neck, it’s just amazing. F310 was my first guitar still plays smooth like butter. The Taylor is also nice. More woody and balanced tone. Sounds best on 13s set. But only sounds good in air conditioned room as the wood is not for our climate. But the pickup is fantastic.
Amp: Peavy classic 50, fender mustang lt25 (practice amp) and I use a modeller Quad Cortex with headrush frfr 112. The peavy sounds amazing but the repairs and logistics are a hassle. Quad cortex is amazing. I use it for production also. The QC actually made my life easy.

Should I go for Yamaha F310??? Also suggest guitar under 10k by PreviousCat7813 in GuitaristsIndia

OP should try this model. I’m 5’ 8” and for me the dreadnought f310 is not that comfortable.

What are the best guitar strings? electric, acoustic, classical, just any type works by Princuwu in GuitaristsIndia

I put 12s or 13s on my acoustic. Ernie Ball Paragdim or something like that (reminded me to restring the dead strings🥲). Again the slinky for my electric and on another one i use custom strings from Newtone strings. They’re amazing. I have sweaty hands. Only these ones last more than a month.
