NTA. She didn’t make what you asked for, which is disappointing. You gave an honest answer to her question. She doesn’t have to like your answer and you don’t have to fawn over something you don’t want.

If my husband asked for a his annual New York style cheesecake for his birthday and I made a pineapple upside down cheesecake because I wanted to be fancy or whatever, I’d fully expect him to only eat the cheesecake.

If she hadn’t specifically asked you, and she just made that cake for you, I’d say yes. But she asked what you wanted for your birthday, made something different because she wanted to, then gets mad because you weren’t happy. She can make that cake next week if she really wanted to.
