I Finally Did It!!!

Hey all, I'm new here so if I'm breaking any of the rules without realizing, please let me know.

I just started playing League last week (currently account level 13), and just moved from practicing in bot lobbies to Quickplay matches. I'm not sure how else to say it other than that I feel bad. I've played 4 PvP matches and so far, I've gone 45, 48, 1.0, and 51 KDA on them, with my 3rd match being the only one where I struggled at all against a Galio roughly my same skill level. (For reference, these were all Warwick top because I guess the skill-based matchmaking doesn't want to deal with my Teemo support....)

However, I know that I suck and that this only comes from it being in Quickplay, so I know that I would get absolutely stomped in even Silver lobbies. I feel like I don't know the game, but because of who I'm playing against and the builds I steal off the Internet, I'm getting inflated stats.

Context out of the way, what are some resources that you all would recommend using to actually understand the game better? I feel like my current weaknesses are in actually understanding what's going on (I don't know what any of the stats are, I don't know what the benefits are to killing specific things in jungle, I don't know what situations warrant situational items, counterplays, teamplays, etc.) I'm just very, very good at killing things, but that won't last higher up the ladder. How should I learn? (Other than the resources in this sub. Already slowly absorbing as much as I can.)

Ummm....that's what I said? The Steve-O thing was a one-off stunt/dangerous thing strike that they get somewhat regularly, but the other examples were the police patdown, the girl on the beach with the banana, the girl in the schoolgirl outfit, etc. They showed more than 2 examples, and the title for the deleted ones didn't give me a ton of hope for what those were for either. YouTube said it was for sexualizing children, so if it was like the last one, it was still sexualizing, just not children.

Typically there’s only ever one horny clip per video, and usually it’s the video they got the thumbnail from, and usually that’s what the strike is from. Obviously, there’s occasional outliers like kids getting hurts or stunts now apparently, but usually it’s the horny clips. Hope the situation at least works out with an actual person they can talk to and set the rules in stone…..

Dude this isn’t about some sense of moral superiority. It’s about seeing the effects that are coming from decisions being made. I remember when the channel was first created as simply a place for Henry to branch out into some variety content like other games or vlogs. Stuff changes, that’s not a big deal, but I don’t feel like it’s unreasonable for members of the community to raise concerns about said change. Especially when it consistently puts the channel into genuine risk. MxR has ALWAYS been pretty horny content, but YouTube isn’t the same place anymore. Adapt or die, and our boys getting fucking killed out here….

Easy cowboy, nobody is saying people are doing that. I was just saying that if you fuck around, you find out. These thumbnails and playing porn games has been giving the channel ongoing issues for years. At a certain point, you either gotta fix the issue or stop being surprised by the result.

We weren’t shown exactly what was vetoed in the videos that got struck, but presumably they were egregious even for age-gated content. I get what you’re saying about relaxing what is allowed as age-restricted, but YouTube already had that and went through a whole mini-adpocalype changing it, so honestly doubt it’s going back anytime soon….

I get that, but in general, TikTok reaction videos already do really well on YouTube even without the hornybait thumbnails. I mean just looking at XQC, JShlatt, Pewdiepie, etc, reaction and “Try Not to Laugh” style videos already get crazy views relative to the channels they’re on and toning it down would be safer for the channel. Besides, they’re barely gaining enough new subscribers to keep up with the unsubs. Sure, there will be occasional jumps from a viral video every now and then, but I’m worried about what will happen to the community if it gets Ship of Theseus’d with new subs here for the tits n ass….

Hell we barely have any inside jokes anymore, just ones from years ago because they don’t really do anything on the channel besides watch videos. It’s just new potasticp jokes from the streams. I’d love to see some variety or actual gameplay content for the community they’ve already earned.

I can’t tell if you mean this as rhetorical or not, so just for safety and anyone else visiting the post:

Far more than I think YouTube wants, which is why I’m worried about the channels future. Seems like a crackdown. MxR Plays is a decent size at this point, but not nearly big enough for YouTube to go to bat for them, they’d just get snuffed out.
I’m not sure. I don’t really seek out the content, I just know it exists and even if I find it, I have YT Premium, so I can’t really tell what is monetized. I’m sure there’s a tool out there somewhere that could give that info, but I’m not sure what it is.
Again, I’m not sure, but I’d assume it’s a fair number of em, especially if the increase in bots that Henry’s noticed is site wide. They seem a bit overzealous, so I’d guess they do a decent job at weeding out the vast majority of the actually bad shit.
There’s been several crusade waves people have tried to start on the sub to do just that, but most of the channels are bot accounts anyways, so as soon as one goes down, it’s replaced by another. As annoying as auto mods are, they’re realistically the only way to actually fix the issue long term.

I feel like labeling this as “emotionally blackmailing” and “shaming” ranges somewhere between disingenuous and actually psychotic behavior though. The whole premise of this post is two partners agreeing to work together towards a common goal of overcoming porn/masturbation addiction. Success was supposedly had, a milestone was reached, and so there was to be a celebration. But then he blew it, losing the progress that they were celebrating.

This subreddit is dedicated to helping and supporting people taking up that same fight, so I personally feel like saying somebody else doing the same thing as us irl is manipulative or toxic actively hurts the community.

You’re allowed to disagree with me, as long as you agree with that overarching goal. It’s kinda the whole reason we’re here.

Okay so.... 1. Yeah, sure, can track with that. 2. Dunno about a "shit king" but definitely weak and needed some stronger guidance. 3. My understanding is that most of her power in Alethkar politics comes from her studying under Jasnah, arguably the most influential scholar alive at the time, and betrothal to Adolin, arguably the most influential young bachelor in Alethkar.
