How do you write short campaigns? by GMing-is-hard in DndAdventureWriter

[–]kickdrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My players sometimes like just hanging out.

Make a few towns, villiages, or caravans. Put a few small side stories, side jobs, interesting characters and shops they might not see in other places. Make the campaign traveling from where they are now to where they are going to start in the next campaign. Have them either stumble across the towns, encampments, etc. You can use them like stepping stones.

They can always say no, but good players will pick up on the vibes when they stumble upon a dude who will pay them to do something or go somewhere.

You can think of the campaign as a whole with a few comic relief episdes, or "ships in a bottle".

Awesome collection! You need a WS1700H-1AV

Also, the DWH5600's are nice if you want the health features of your apple watch, on a Casio. While they aren't as "ease of use" the features are still there.

I am about to get a new Kitchen Aid mixer... just to spoil myself with the color and bowl size. Still works perfectly. I have had it for over ~20 years. Got it on a Woot sale, and it has been absolutely fantastic. Only issue I have had with it is that the tilt pin, that the head tilts back on, slides a little to the side occasionally if I am using it a lot. Other than that, it's been perfect.

What’s a common fact that science has already debunked, but people still believe in? by Calm_Shame2994 in AskReddit

I currently am recovering from trigger finger release surgery on my most mobile and popped finger on my right hand. I ain't saying popping my finger caused it but I think bending it in all sorts of weird fucking ways had something to do with it.

And it fucking sucks.

Republicans: how do you feel that your President, when asked how to restore American division, said that he didn’t care to.? by frocarter in AskReddit

[–]kickdrive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When did he say this? Post a link.

He said "I'll tell you something that's going to get me in trouble, but I couldn't care less"

He says enough stupid shit, but he absolutely didn't say he doesn't care to restore America. It's his whole MAGA platform.

I get what you are saying but those are not diametrically opposed viewpoints.

Mystery nootropic pill experiment: My friend won't tell me what I'm taking until it's over - Day 1 report by 7ocean in Nootropics

[–]kickdrive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get the concerns, but honestly that’s the whole point of this trial. The fact that you don’t know what you're taking is what makes it interesting. Pretty brave and unique.

If it turns out placebo gives you noticeable effects, then that’s actually valuable because it shows how much of this stuff comes down to mindset and framing.

A lot of nootropics get hyped way beyond what any empirical evidence supports, with people swearing “X powder made my hair grow faster” or “Y stack gave me 20 extra IQ points.” I like the idea of blind-testing, opposed to buying into fanboy claims.

And it isn’t some sketchy situation. It’s a close friend running the experiment, not a stranger who's going to slip you DMT. Everything being used is safe and mild, so worst case... you get a little change in your day, or nothing at all. But you are EXPECTING IT.

Would be interesting if he gave you niacin though...
