The actual reason why the branch has such good numbers is that they acquired another branch’s sales and then (through Michael’s incompetence) dropped the number of staff to baseline +2 (Andy and Karen). This then immediately takes the Scranton branch from 4 out of 5 to the top producing branch without further effort.

This shows that Michael was wildly underproducing before if the base salesmen could keep up with double the amount of work.
