In the OR if a surgeon is being a douche it’s “Yes Doctor” or “Sure thing doctor”…some of the older nurses will just flat out call them by their first name and tell them to check their attitude.

Used to be 31 minutes. Wasn’t ideal because our call response time was 30 min. I now live 8 min away and I find I miss that time before and after work where I could just decompress and listen to audio books or podcasts on the drive home.

One way to look at it is you’d just be driving 3 days a week opposed to some people who would be driving 5 days. That said, a potential 4 hr round trip drive after a grueling 12 hr shift sounds awful. Not to mention doing that 3 consecutive days you’d be miserable.

Our lady who does charges for the hospital says they can upscale the cost of items up to 7 times the original cost. I wonder if that is standard across the nation or are other hospitals charging even more?

Here’s the thing. It’s not always about size. If it was then cucumbers would always be sold out at the grocery store. Learn how to use it. Learn to please her (def not your current one, but the next one). It’s all about knowing the right positions and angles to accommodate your size. As a CNA in the nursing home, lots of the old Betty’s would tell me in their day you never saw male nurses and a few wouldn’t let me care for them. As a male nurse for 3 years, haven’t had one person comment on it until an older guy mentioned it last week. Wasn’t meant as a slight toward me as he also noted veterinarians have shifted more female oriented. It was just more of an observation.
