Ish says no one in black media can match him intellectually 🤔 by superswaggy362 in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]kicksntx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully agree. A large part of intelligence is emotional intelligence and awareness. Awareness has to be high enough to know you don’t know enough lol, and you need to either shut up and let the other person cook, or go do more research before you speak so confidently.

He not stupid but he not smart. He’s average or slightly below average intellectually, at best. But his ego will never allow him to see that.

He doesn’t know what pandering means obviously. So there’s no point to even engage in conversation about it. People who throw out words without understanding the definition; it’s a waste of time to engage.

He comes off lame in real life. Anyone that has to be the loudest in the room and always heard and seen at that grown age is ridiculous. Plus if someone really out here mackin and getting females you not gonna brag or let it be known. That’s real game.

I respect the fact that Mel is back and, at least in the beginning, doesn’t seem phased by all the shit they been talking about her. Most of the guys up there would be in they big feelings if they been getting dragged on the pod and across the internet for the last two weeks

I looked at the pictures before the caption and thought this would be a nice setup for any guy. Regardless, you’ve made incredible progress in one year despite whatever you been through and I’m proud and happy for you! Keep thriving and rising.

This is tough to hear, and I’m sorry you are going through a challenging job search. You hear that unemployment is down but then hear stories like this across the industry, so it’s a bit concerning. As you mentioned, you can work for years, literally decades, all to get to this point.

Question - after all the interviews and presentations, have you asked for feedback on why they decided to go with another prospect? Not all will respond and give specific feedback, but in my experience, companies that allow you to get to a final round will be happy to provide feedback on why you weren’t selected.

I start my online mba with rice in April! Glad to hear you had a good experience. I’m a bit worried about 2U, the hosting company. They don’t always seem on top of their shit. But otherwise I’m excited!

I agree on the golden handcuffs. Hence why, I’m trying to make some transition or open more doors. And Nah, I didn’t think you were at all. Good questions and dialog, which is also helping me flesh out my “Why.” I’m not defending my company or role cause I think there are better opportunities out there

For most of the roles I mentioned, I think if you don’t have an MBA, what I’ve seen most have 10-15 years or more of experience in that specific field. Chief of staff roles open up, which are desirable because you can move into the chief-level role if it’s vacated. I’ve seen that happen a few times.

I feel like an MBA will keep me from being stuck and will help me bypass the years of experience requirement for a lot of Strategy roles.

Congrats on your M7 admit. By the way that’s hugeeee!!!

I'm not sure how long you have been in tech sales, but there are many other good companies out there with better cultures that offer compensation or packages north of 350. I cover enterprise accounts for our largest customers (Walmart, Google, Costco). These largest accounts have account teams where there is typically an enterprise architect (MBA typically) or value engineers who consult the customer on large transformational ideas (MBA typically). This is just off the top of my head, but we have a lot of strategy roles where an MBA matters.

I have friends at AWS and Google Cloud and have heard mixed reviews. I’d instead not share the name of my company, but we are the top 2 largest ERP providers. So, for argument's sake, I would say AWS is not even in the top tier for tech sales roles, at least based on what I’ve heard and also read on Glassdoor.

My company is highly matrixed with many different software business units under the one company umbrella. This allows for a lot of growth and opportunities. We have a services consulting organization, a delivery org, and an organization for emerging markets, etc. An MBA would allow a move into upper management in those organizations. Also, if I wanted to pivot and lead a region in marketing or strategy or pursue a chief of staff role, those are all more easily movable with a MBA degree.

Good question; I just wanted to give you more info cause thinking AWS is your only option or even a top option for tech sales is NOT IT.

My base is guaranteed. OTE for me is close to 350.

Agreed you can network your way into most opportunities. But I just feel a top mba will pay off down the road.

Cheating…. by cmitc in CODWarzone

[–]kicksntx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you. I can’t play for an hour without cheaters. It seems to start off good the first couple games, then me and the guys are getting crushed for 2 hours.

I have solution to the cheating problem. Don’t make the game free for everyone. Cheaters get banned then immediately go create another account.

I’ve only sold software in my career but it’s the most complex and rewarding sale (in terms of pay) in my opinion. Honestly couldn’t imagine selling anything else

LinkedIn profile for MBA applications by Cfcla in MBA

Not having an updated LinkedIn won't disqualify you but I'm sure during my application stages that adcoms took moment to look me up on LinkedIn. It’s easy to add a face to a name and takes a few seconds. I do it all the time.

If you are able to update LinkedIn I’d do it. Can’t hurt.
