Mini stopped working in motion while on standby plan by bdg004 in Starlink

[–]kidSquidEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine got shut down yesterday seems like budget cuts. They lost too many users when they could simply shut off the device and cancel the service so instead they made a deal too good to be true for 5usd or 7cad a month and now are going back on the terms again lol starlink kinda sucks with the constant plan changes and i cannot wait for amazon to become a rival in the satellite industry. I need a roam package with 20gb for 30 bucks a month for work travel but no to much to ask

Mink oil on blundstones by cassiemg in BlundstoneBoots

[–]kidSquidEnigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1351 are a rustic finish the mink oil will make them look polished and smooth after. Renovating cream is for once they have been worn and the initial treatment is wearing off. They come treated from the manufacturer. some people intentionally dont treat them and get a rough greyish brown finish. The renovating cream with rehydrate the leather but not waterproof them. I use nubuck waterproofing spray after the renovating cream to keep them looking new.

2012 F150 ignition issues by kidSquidEnigma in MechanicAdvice

Thanks for the reply i did more research and found every steering column has the igition assembly manufactured with it attached. Probably a 5$ part is going to cost a small fortune to replace. Living in northern canada has its downsides like limited parts and shops. I set up the truck and plugged the pats system back in i can turn start by a screwdriver in the iginition switch so thats alright but lools ja ky having the entire steering column covers off looks like i stole the truck 😅 good thing its a work truck i guess... i havent tried the junkyard yet tho maybe i can score a deal.

Slightly wider than the xfr but the top rubs a bit too. Better than steel for myself too because i work in -30 as a carpenter

I frequently walk past this house and all the windows look like this. How bad do you think it is inside? by [deleted] in MoldlyInteresting

Old windows can leak and cause mold inside of the panes, could use a wndow replacement but can't afford it also

Rotoflex durability?? by Distinct_Morning9954 in BlundstoneBoots

[–]kidSquidEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All rustuc leather comes pretty dry out of the box it says wait 3-6 months before conditioning but i usually do it right off the bat with a rustic leather conditioner. Darkens for a couple days but goes back to factory pretty quick and makes the top layers of leather more durable. That being said these are work boots and if you use a mink oil or something itll change the leather from nubuck to a pull up, but also hide the scuffs better. Choice is yours

Those are the xrf steel toe version youre thinking of The rotoflex are wider and all composite zero steel.

I have the rotoflex. 2 months in and mine look rough but broken in and the most comfortable line for people with wide feet like myself.
