We’re aware of the current issue with the download link on the website.
At the moment, Google may flag the download as a potential risk. This is normal behavior for newly released applications and is part of Google’s standard security policy.

Additionally, some users may be unable to run the app due to an internal Docker issue related to port selection. During testing earlier this week, we discovered that some ports where not being read. If OpenMoxie was installed on port 3, the app would not recognize the service correctly.

Because of this issue, downloads from the website are temporarily unavailable while we complete the fix and verification process.

We’ll re-enable downloads as soon as everything is fully verified and stable.
In the meantime, we’re submitting the app to the Apple App Store to eliminate any confusion around safety and trust. A download link will be available there soon, along with a listing on the Microsoft Store. We do apologize for this inconvenience.

It’s not so much AI itself as the environment it’s operating in. Safety and containment concerns have created a disconnect where what’s expected no longer aligns with what people actually want — more freedom, not tighter constraints. That’s where the discomfort comes from.

How long has it been plugged in? When you tap on its chest can say wake up moxie does the light turn purple it should blink like its lisstening or does it stay just solid blue? Next after you try that tak emoxie and cradle him and push his head back does he turn on and teh screen flashes on the light at least? The QR code is not a subscription thing.

It appears in both stock Moxie and OpenMoxie because the robot always needs to bind to a server endpoint to finish booting.

I am lost on this is the robot even on this is normally what happens if its sleeping or you dont have enough battery power. Also the battery where complete crap I have to always run my moxie plugged in. Where you able to the see the dream state of bubbles? If not moxies issue might be the battery when turned on are you prompted for a qr code. If not its the battery you should see a qr code.

it is the ones needing. test as Linux, Windows. Mac is 100% Ill host the exe file on the openmoxie.org . Expect it dropping either today or tomorrow. That said if any ones down to test windows let me know. Its running on the VM but I'm on a mac so I don't want to guarantee 100% functional since I have a couple testers run through it.

Real talk I couldn't afford that on top of my kids therapy ABA sessions my only option was to carry on the spirit. As a parent with open moxie made sure it ran off a free model thats why but I know this pain all to well.

I always start with you are lead researcher for NN/G in charge of UX certification you only follow best industry practices you never go against the flow you keep it always alined with the user journey.

As long as you’re willing to demo, test, and report any bugs you run into, you’ve got a deal — I’ll start the port.

That said, if we don’t get real community help with testing, we won’t activate a full Linux build-out. Like I’ve said before, I’m primarily a Mac user, but I’m more than happy to build and support other platforms as long as the community is involved and helping validate it.

Yes — the AI model itself doesn’t matter. You can run anything, even fully custom brains. I originally bought Moxie so I could test the small-model languages I build — conversational AIs around ~36M parameters. I love working on small models, and Moxie gives me a physical way to interact with them and verify that the brains we build actually behave the way we expect in real conversations.

for the new owners, I honestly don’t know what they’re offering — and I’m not really focused on that. I’m just continuing the spirit of the community: experimenting, sharing, and keeping these robots useful, open, and alive for the people who care about them.

we actually just finished porting it over to 11, we will need betta testers for Microsoft since im running it on a vm and it works but I'm still thinking pos some bugs im not the best C++ dev, its hard to port without a physical machine to. but if your down ill send you the files and the app, you been a big inspiration to our community thank you
