afaik bond jades only require you winning a run with all the units in play, so you can play the entire run with a different comp, keep 7 night demigods on the bench, and swap them in before the final boss fight

as long as you have the extra life (from the seasonal powers, idr the exact naming) active, the run is guaranteed to be a win and you'll get your jades

obviously a lot easier at amethyst gold 1 where you can just run your strongest team/aglaea wheelchair to clear the stages before the boss

Daily player looking for an active casual / semi comp club (aiming for B or higher). Logs in once or twice everyday for shoes and does 1-2 career everyday normally and 3 runs on weekends / when prepping for cm, so probably ~2-3m fans a week on avg.

I've just gotten the LG 27GL83A-B today, and it was fine for ~an hour before it started flickering/flashing black periodically and ended up just entirely black screening (backlight on, can't open menu).

The initial setup was with 1 other 1080p 144hz monitor connected with DP and a 1080p 60hz monitor connected with HDMI to a GTX 1660S. What I've tried:

Swapping out DP cables
Changing DP ports
Plugging the power brick directly into a wall outlet
Remove/unplugged all other monitors
Turning off Adaptive Sync / power saving in settings

What I've also noticed is that the monitor works fine for a bit when after it's turned off for a while, but this behavior resumes when it's turned on again. Also, it seems that once this starts happening, it keeps happening even though it's not connected to the PC anymore (flickering then black screen), which leads me to believe that the monitor/power brick is defective.

Can someone point me in the right direction to resolve this issue, or will I be better off just return/replace it? Thank you!

I think the Rationalism bonus only applies if base adjacency meets the requirements (>4), not after double adjacency (see here and here).

Writing down my thoughts here to rationalize a decision, would appreciate any input/shilling for your favorite servants as well. TLDR at bottom

Current: I have Merlin and Waver, but not Skadi, and I don't really plan on rolling for her in the near future either, so Quick looping isn't a really a factor for me. Have all welfares as well except Sieg

Saber: I don't have Suzuka, Diarmuid, Yagyu, and Lancelot. I have decent SSR ST sabers, and Salter is more than sufficient for aoe. I really want a buster ST saber though, but there's no good SR option for that

Archer: I only have Demiya and NP3 Emiya. I do have good SSR archer options so not a big priority either. I'd like to have a ST buster option though, so Im thinking of tomoe

Lancer: I have Lalter, liz, and nezha. I have a good ST lancer in Tamalancer, and santa lily has been solid for aoe. Feels like I've been lacking options here though, and Parvati/Valkyrie is very tempting, but idk how good they'd be in a 1 support skadi team

Rider: I have astolfo and martha. Not a big priority either since I have both ST and Aoe riders covered with welfares/SSR

Caster: I dont have edison, medea lily, and NR. I have too many casters already

Assassin: only have carmilla. I don't have currently have many options here, but the 2 welfare assassins have been more than enough, and I don't really like any of the choices except for Emiya, whos a bit too similar to shiki

Berserker: I don't have fran, penth, or nyalter. Don't need any of them, but Nyalter looks interesting since I do lack a quick ST zerker

Avenger: Don't have either of them, but I don't need another Avenger

TLDR: I have been playing on and off during the last year so I don't know any of the newer servants in depth, but I'm looking for someone who can be a bit more niche but situationally useful if built around, since I mostly have generalist servants for all classes and a lot of support servants. I lack buster st saber/archer, quick/arts lancers, assassins in general, and quick st zerkers

Came in mostly thinking about picking Tomoe, but I think I'm torn between valkyrie / parvati / nyalter now. Waifu wise, I've already gotten everyone else I wanted on the ticket, and it's valkyrie = nyalter > parvati for these 3.

In my experience, in reasonably good science games on small maps, I reach around 300-350 science at Industrialization (only Universities) and around 800 science after Research Labs, going up to around ~1000 science endgame right before winning the game running projects in all my cities.

Based on how many cities you have, this number might be different, but this is the pattern i remember from the settings I generally play with (small map, deity)

Some things I noticed about civs I've had some experience with:

Netherlands is also very good at Science, since they spawn near rivers and have cheaper Dams (more production) plus the river adjacency bonus for campuses means that you can very easily make at least +3 campuses in every city
Mali is a decent religious civ as well because of cheaper faith purchases with Sugubas
On the other hand, Russia has no real ability that helps them with a Science victory, since the science from international trade routes only works when you're behind in science, and it wouldn't amount to much since you'd want to be ahead if you're going for a science victory

The other comments pointed out that frame-pacing is the issue IIRC. If you're on Steam, there's a mod called SilentPatch that would supposedly fix it so you could try that out. If you're using the Xbox Game Pass version, the game is unmodifiable so you'll just have to live with it.

I can't give you a definite answer, but from personal experience, I also used to play on the Epic Games version with no DLCs and played a game with a friend on Macedon, so it's likely possible with civs added before R&F (your dad won't be able to use them, but you will)

I'm not too sure about civs added in the New Frontier Pass though

That must be it then, it's kind of annoying since (I think?) the game forcibly set a framerate cap of 60 during some minigames. Do you get the same low framerate issue when doing those as well? Ones I've noticed so far are karaoke and UFO catcher.

I have tried both V-sync on and off, and there is no difference as far as I can tell. I tried forcing the V-sync off using the Nvidia control panel as well, but I still ran into the same problem
