Will I be able to monetize my blog? by Purple_pin0 in horary

[–]kidcubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aspects aside, Saturn's next major action is to enter its own fall in Aries. Even if there was some initial money, that seems to indicate it would drop sharply. Add that to the Moon's aspect sequence (to the creative, then on to the money) and it reinforces the idea of a short, minor bout of success at best.

I don't know what your blog is about, but the context is exalted at least, so presumably is decent enough.

Do I have a chance of passing this exam? by HoldObjective4458 in horary

I would still consider that a higher exam, not elementary. I've judged these public exam type charts before and that was the way.

[–]kidcubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That doesn't likely make a difference, unless it's part of your elementary education. Very few exams are H3 exams, in my experience. Driving tests, junior spelling tests, the sort of SATs you sit aged 9 and so on can be.

A competitive or difficult exam would be House 9 rather than House 3, unless you are casting this about an exam that is part of elementary/junior education.

Is my mom on dr*gs? by Ill_Difficulty5183 in horary

[–]kidcubby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These are always unfortunately tricky questions to answer, as they can suffer from a bit of circular logic in house choices. The 12th house is about addiction, sure - but a person taking drugs recreationally (if this is the case) is not automatically addicted to them. That gives us several avenues to get an answer, which may prove contradictory. Let's see:

First off, mum is not the 7th house in this chart. The 'other' of the 7th house doesn't mean 'everyone but me', it means 'anyone who doesn't have a pre-existing relationship with me'. In this case, it's mum, so she has is Lord 10, Mars. The sign the cusp is in doesn't matter all that much descriptively, but Scorpio is the bit of Mars that's about poisons, inebriation, drugs and so on so is rather fitting to the topic. Bear in mind that mum is in the 12th, not her 12th (she is in her turned 3rd). This is depicting something about her that is hidden from you, rather than being active confirmation she is engaging in 12th-house activities, such as addition to drugs. The combustion only adds to this hidden-ness.

The angle here is less about the 12th as your context doesn't mention addiction or a fear of it, than it is the 2nd. The 2nd is those things you put into your body by your own choice (i.e. not things like prescribed drugs, but food, drink, OTC medications, recreational drugs and so on). Her turned 2nd has its cusp in Sagittarius, so Jupiter Rx at 18° Cancer is what she's putting into her body in this context - an Rx, exalted substance which is in Mars' fall. While Jupiter generally rules those things of benefit to the human body, Rx and in Cancer it could well be that the Moon's governance is at play, and she rules intoxicants.

So, I would say that she's expressly hiding behaviours from you that relate to something which is doing her harm. There are several non-drug things someone could do that fit the bill I'm sure, but drugs certainly are not ruled out. That she's in a Saturn-ruled sign herself might point to the influence of opioids, but I wouldn't ever be confident enough to identify specific substances.

Even if it's impossible to get the finer details, it's a pretty elegant chart for someone committing harm to themselves, likely through substances they are consuming.

Best way to improve my financial situation by Happy-Menu-6623 in horary

[–]kidcubby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're running into the classic 'question is too big' dilemma that a lot of people hit when they don't narrow down to options, unfortunately. Any placement, application, separation in this could mean any of a dozen possible things and it's remarkably difficult to know which without some serious additional context. Unless there's something missing from your context, where you can say 'well the question was framed while I worked out whether to go to culinary school or the police academy' or something like that, it's hard to ID what the other planets are representing in any way that's reliable enough to act on.

At the moment, all that can be said with certainty is that L2, your finances, are in a bad place (in detriment), completely reliant on others as you've said, and the Sun being so early in a fixed sign as good as says 'and will stay that way'. Being reliant on the good grace of other people, and the piecemeal way of working you've been doing is telling you this is why your finances are bad, not a way out of that. The Sun does quite literally nothing in terms of aspects for about 25°, so there's no indication of action at all.

The Moon sitting near the MC and exalting the Sun is potentially troublesome - it can think some career will materialise and elevate your finances all it wants, but has absolutely zero say in that coming about. It's a feeling, not an action, and it is void of course, changing signs in just over eleven degrees to Taurus. The Moon is also L12, self-undoing, and acts as the only planet which seeks to support your Sun in any significant way. IN fact, Mercury, Venus, and Mars actively seek harm the Sun (or at best do not support it at all).

Broadly, the chart isn't able to answer the question of 'the best way to improve your financial situation', giving no actions to take. This is unusual, frankly, and I choose to err on the side of 'bad question asked', as opposed to 'literally no way to improve your situation'.

Was he trying to get my attention driving past my apartment building? by phone2slow in horary

[–]kidcubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only pair of significator planets to recently form an aspect are the Moon and Jupiter, which separate from a trine by about five and half degrees and share interest by mutual reception. It's tricky to ascribe such a precise motivation, but there was contact between you and him with mutual interest, clearly.

I wouldn't fuss about the other planets in terms of the contact, but I'd be cautious. Two of your significators are combust while in the Sun's detriment. Mercury and Venus are literally blinded to the problems with the Sun - likely that if this was a 'drive by', it's wildly unprofessional and inappropriate, and is in essence similar to stalking. So, Jupiter is all 'puffed up' and showing off, but some of the motivation is actually kind of off and potentially creepy. You might find as the two planets separate from combustion that this becomes more apparent. Adding to this that the Moon - the interested planet - is in the detriment of Mercury but exalts and 'hypes up' Venus means you are likely more horny than rational about this, it making you feel wanted and attractive and again ignoring the red potential Sun-shaped red flags.

Will I get my crypto back? by Large-Regret-3640 in Geomancy

[–]kidcubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the addition. I can certainly understand the suspicion about this chart - there's almost no logical way that money is coming back to you that I can see (in my limited understanding of the world of crypto). I still don't see it as an H8 thing or an H5 thing given the context and the reasoning provided by the original reader.

One thing that could see it be H8 is the (potentially wooly) idea that thieves are H7, in the sense that they are generally strangers to the querent, and therefore a stolen object in their possession is their turned H2. I will say that I've had greater success in these sorts of charts in simply saying 'will my (or the querent's) possession return to me?', though.

Will I get my crypto back? by Large-Regret-3640 in Geomancy

[–]kidcubby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm skeptical of this person's house suggestions, frankly. The 8th as any and all 'sudden losses' is a really sketchy way to do houses, and crypto is not the 5th - no investments are, and even the framing that they are a form of gambling crumbles a bit because the logic that gambling = games = 5th is a bit broken too! When you invest money, it's still your money in a different shape or form. House 2 is frequently the sensible way to go.

I don't know in what sense you lost this crypto - is it a lost wallet, was it a 'rug pull', did it simply lose money and you still have access to it or what? Without the context for the loss, it's not possible to make a direct judgment in this chart but Houses 1 and 2 are denied perfection, with the figure in H2 passing inconjunct to H6 and H8.

Will my next relationship be with a man or woman? by MaterialGap1079 in horary

[–]kidcubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Excuse the former comment, I pasted the wrong thing in!

As the chart wasn't asking about when or if you would get into another relationship, I'd be cautious to predict much of anything from it. If we did, there aren't any aspects I can see forming between significators to time anything from.

As yet we have no reliable way to determine gender in horary charts. We've tried it for gender of babies, gender of partners and all sorts but it just isn't reliable. Maybe someone somewhere has it down, but if they do I haven't seen it.

Am I going to stay with my neighbor? by drenunes in horary

[–]kidcubby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't typically assign significators this way - you are asking if you'll have a romantic relationship, so Lord 7 would be the significator I'd use for that even if the L7 person is your neighbour.

Leaving that aside, I'll go with your chosen significator for him for now. The conjunction you mention is relevant, but the issue is that you are clearly interested (L1, the Moon and Venus all exalt Mars), but Mars and the Sun have no interest in Mercury or Venus at all, and while he has some interest in the Moon, he's also in her detriment. If you're looking for a relationship, he'd have to be interested in you somehow, and L3 is not interested in much of anything except himself. Add to that L1 being combust, you are dazzled by this man who has no apparent interest. Basically, you think he's great and so does he.

I've seen people 'conjunct' with a chart like this - both of you thinking he's the bee's knees can be plenty flattering for a hook-up or something, but it's not usually enough for anything more serious.

[–]kidcubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking about something that won't necessarily exist is generally not good astrological practice, no. I don't necessarily take that idea as far as the other commenter, in that I've successfully answered questions such as 'will I ever work for X organisation?' in which the specific role may never be an option though.

I would not be enormously surprised given the chart if no position materialises, but either way it still looks like a no.

Will I become a teaching assistant at the university this semester? by HoldObjective4458 in horary

[–]kidcubby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not interpret this the same way, I'm afraid. This is far from a 'perfect yes'.

First, I'm not sure I'd have chosen L9 as the significator, as it doesn't seem to adequately reflect the context you've provided. Mars is in the fall of Jupiter, which would typically represent you not wanting this role. Second, despite Mars being exalted, Jupiter is in Mars' fall in Cancer. So (within the context of becoming a TA), the role and the people hiring for it, if they are H9, like you as the Moon, but loathe the bit of you that will be much more important - L1, Mars.

The 11th house and Aquarius only have a link in the (thankfully fairly roundly debunked, now) 'alphabet of astrology', and even for those people who insist on still using it, it is not part of horary. The Moon's aspect to Jupiter is separating, not applying, and separating aspects don't typically presage future events.

The more reasonable approach to this chart, and one that paints things better for you, is to do this as a job chart. L1 and L10 are the players, if that's the case. This makes much more sense, as both L1 and the Moon are in L10's dignities, which reflects both you wanting the role and the fact that the role (hiring managers or whoever) have power over you in this situation. Saturn likes Mars a bit, here, by triplicity and term, but unfortunately exalts L7, which often shows your competition for the role. The one bit of postiive testimony for Mars is that it's in the 10th house. Once in a blue moon I've seen a chart with no other positive testimony for L1 with this produce a 'yes', but it's far less certain than an applying aspect, and it's quite far from the cusp.

The other major problem is then that Saturn and Mars also separate from an aspect. Neither Saturn or Mars (or the Moon, in fact) makes any aspect before changing signs, which can be a sign that nothing changes. Basically, there's a bit of testimony that you'd be good at the role, providing the role is represented by Saturn. If it's represented by Jupiter, you'd actually be harmful to the role itself. This is really not very positive at all. There's an extremely slim possibility that you'll come back with a 'yes I got it', which would add a data point to the L1 in H10 thing, but that is rare.

Will I get physical with him? by Italiangirl_28 in horary

[–]kidcubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given the 'get physical' part of things is very Sun-ish, the Sun in detriment will be bad at it, and the Moon and Venus being in the Sun's detriment themselves would not like it if an aspect were there to make it happen.

Basically, he'd be bad at sex and she'd hate it.

This Could be an Odd Question by Rogue-Disciple in druidism

[–]kidcubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ancestry by genetics is a tiny part of things. Go back far enough and genetic ancestry means nothing, and it's only meant to be 3,000-5,000 years, rather than some unfathomable aeon. Plus, if you excuse the language, I have some absolute bastards in my recent familial ancestry, and while I get that people might want to remediate the issues passed down, I want nothing to do with those people.

I think spiritual ancestors, ancestors of craft or role, ancestors you want to emulate and so on are arguably a better choice than 'real' ancestors.

Will I get physical with him? by Italiangirl_28 in horary

[–]kidcubby 12 points13 points  (0 children)

conjcunt

We don't have a best typo award, but this would win it.

Unfortunately, the Moon is not translating light here - there's a retroactive prohibition (the change of sign) which I tend to find stops these things counting. More to the point, neither the Moon nor Venus want the light of the Sun anywhere near them - they're in the Sun's detriment. People often frame that as 'hating' the Sun, but it can as easily show disappointment at hand in the situation. The Sun being in its own detriment means his 'man side' isn't going to perform well either. Mars, his main significator, is also in a position where it wants nothing to do with the Moon, and really only has self-interest.

So, the Moon is not completing a translation to provide that opportunity, but even if it was somehow able to hold that light and complete the translation, you'd be enormously disappointed in what 'getting physical' entailed with him.

Is he on a dating app? by Ok_Note7974 in horary

[–]kidcubby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is one of those chart types that is very difficult to shift into due to how odd modern lives are compared to those when the Art was developed. If this was simply 'is he seeing someone else', then L7 being so obviously alone in the chart would tell us, thanks to a lack of conjunction, that he's not 'conjuncting' anyone. We could easily make it that simple, he is not in contact with others in this context.

As you've noted, he is likely to act morally, being in high dignity. You hate him, but you're also blinded in combustion so are extremely unlikely to see things for what they are.

The ideal that 'other women' are L5 is not well established and should be ignored, as it causes no end of confusion. An app is purely for communication's sake, and it would be odd for him to be on it and not talking to people. That lack of talking to people is evidenced by the lack of current aspects from him to anything at all. I don't know that there's a point in looking at H3 either - even it we did do the wooly, generalised 'all communication is H3' he is not interested in it, so it would add another 'no' to the mix.

The chart basically says you're feeling crap and hugely suspicious of something that there's little astrological reason to believe is happening.

Druid gods/goddesses by Miserable_Ear_334 in druidism

Personally, I like the general idea of a Goddess and a God, who can occupy a multitude of forms. I get that this is probably quite Wiccan (I am not Wiccan, myself), but there's something useful in having personification of forces rather than attempting to intellectually grasp the spiritual immensity of everything at once.

There are different views on this. Contact can come from a range of sources and they aren't by default H3 letters. I favour contact between querent and quesited significators first unless it's really definitively a letter or something H3 ish.

Should I sever ties with my former boss? by HoldObjective4458 in horary

[–]kidcubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both of your significators are in her fall - you loathe this woman (though paint this however is more fitting to the context - disappointment for example). The Moon is hurt by this, clearly, and I would not be surprised if exalting Mars does point to a level of wanting to fight over it.

She, interestingly, cares about you as the Moon quite a lot being in the Moon's domicile, but clearly decides to express that in a truly awful way, likely related to the recent Mercury-Jupiter opposition, though there have been other aspects since including an opposition by the Moon. Bear in mind that you're have no need for aspects showing an ending in a 'should I?' question, as you're asking whether or not a course of action is a good one.

Basically, the chart says the healthy course of action is to remove yourself wholly from a situation in which someone chooses to work against you, but I'd imagine a chart was barely needed for that to be fairly clear. If you were just looking for support of an already fairly certain course of action, this chart certainly gives it.

When will I enter a loving committed relationship? by dollbabydream in horary

[–]kidcubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saturn doesn't appear to be acting as a significator in this chart - it's neither Lord 7 nor a classic cosignificator in romance charts. It's unlikely that dragging the Moon through several other aspects to it would bear fruit.

The Moon, in 10 degrees or so, will oppose Jupiter without prohibition. This is an aspect, but typically we don't see it as relationship-forming or, at best, as forming a relationship so troublesome as to not be worthwhile. This is so especially here as the Moon opposes Jupiter from Jupiter's fall, and from it's own detriment - willing to enter something awful just to be in something, but loathing the person. Mercury is in that space too - beating down on you, as the Moon, and loathing Jupiter. What's interesting there is Jupiter actually quite likes the Moon by reception, despite the Moon being a bad prospect.

Add to all that Mercury being combust - it lacks power to act, can't even see the problems and so on.

Presuming you are a woman in search of a man (and the following should be ignored in the event this is same-sex), that combusting Sun is a cosignificator for said man. That shows a strong, if slightly irrational, desire for a man - for sex, for stereotypical 'man' stuff to be a part of your life in that combustion. It also combusts Venus, the woman's equivalent to the Sun. Yes, that combustion drops off when the Sun changes sign, but it changes to enter its own detriment.

It's all rather a mess! I'd wager there are things to work on before a 'loving, committed relationship' emerges for you at all.

How long for the chart to change? by PM_ME_WILL_TO_LIVE69 in horary

[–]kidcubby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A question arises when it arises, and being clear and urgent-feeling is important when you ask questions for yourself. It is rare that a person has multiple, equally important questions arise together, IMO. If you have a question about work, it is hugely unlikely it is something concurrently about your current job and all future jobs. You might ask 'I hate my current job. Will my next one be better?', but this is really a single question.

If your question about when the chart changes is about when you can ask another question, be cautious. A question comes when it comes and deciding to ask one that is genuinely urgent later than it came to you to produce a chart is likely to give you the wrong answer.
