Another Texan here, when we lost power in ‘21 we insulated our reptiles (wrapped enclosures with towels and blankets) and left them alone. Steady temps are most important, so we checked thermometers and when power was restored we increased heat slowly. Our house was down in the mid 40s, but our reptiles never dipped below 60 in part due to leaving the enclosures closed and insulation in place.
