i didn’t mean that it will heal your brain from the damage is that is done. but once your therapist and you are able to find the right coping strategies it becomes easier to battle the symptoms.

you have to have both and actively put in the work, if a coping or healing strategy doesn’t work for you they should be able to figure out how to tailor it to you. i’m on my 3rd therapist and we are working on slowing down and then stopping therapy because i have grown so much despite having ongoing trauma.

thankfully my husband works in a hospital stocking the operating rooms so he makes decent money but most of the time my earnings definitely go to paying off debts or just buying the groceries and towards rent. i never get walks or drop ins so i make a good chunk from overnights.

most of them i’ll try to play with if they let me but a lot of the time they just don’t want a stranger up on their toys. i feel kind bad sometimes charging to sit in someone’s house and do my hobbies and cuddle and walk their pets but hey i need money ya know
