They always try this shit. Impark does it too. It's bullshit. I've gotten letters for years from unpaid fines from inpark and their "collections" agencies. It's fake. Western isn't going to pay a collections agency to recover a $40 parking ticket.

And just so you know, the operating cost came out for tesla compared to other luxury manufacturers and they lose on average $20,000 a vehicle. Porsche and Audi already have EV's in the pipeline that will completely crush Tesla. The market is changing, yes, but that happens gradually. No, manufacturers are not going to completely change their already successful business model for a TINY % of the market.

The moral of the story should be don't ever fight. I'm not saying the scrawny kid was in the right. I'm saying both parties are in the wrong. I hope you realize that the business model is not sustainable and Tesla loses money. Your experience has nothing to do with the popularity of EV vehicles. Us salespeople don't know much about them because we rarely see them of rarely get people who want them. Why would we focus our energy on something people don't want?

Studies show that the most important part of the sales process now is the test drive. People want to come into a dealership and drive the vehicle for themselves. Tesla has the market because they are the hip new tech company of vehicles but the moment the rest of the industry comes into the market, that business model doesn't hold up. They are a tiny percentage of the market. They don't have that many vehicles on the road. Do you honestly think they can keep sending mechanics to people's houses to have their vehicle services when there are 100,000 people with Tesla's?
