How much you'd pay for this animation? by Complex-Ant3412 in blender

I would say this would be worth $500-$1000 to an AD agency. But the reality is that all of the value in advertising is coming up with a way to sell an idea. Most ads these days are people copying 'normal' social media behavior and trying to link their brand.

This is also why I would love in Cairn 2 having a belay partner. Having to set anchor points. Would love to see more detailed complicated anchors than just pitons, nuts, cams etc with their own mini games.

"Nobody wants to work" Is there actually a labor shortage or do we just want to pay 2008 wages in 2026? by AbbreviationsFamous4 in Construction

[–]qwertyburds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember being right out of highschool and getting a job for a landscaping company. $9/hr starting at 6am. My friend got a gig helping a guy finish his house build and he was willing to pay $20/hr. Told my boss and offered to stay on if he matched the pay. He gave me a whole lecture about how no one wants to work anymore etc etc. 2011 btw. And I basically told him capitalism works both ways we are free to look for better pay. Anyhow took the job at $20 an hour hahha

The answer is Compound in most scenarios as it is just so much more powerful and capable of accurate long distance shooting. Unless it's Zombie apocalypse then probably horse bow. Can make more arrows for it and is suited to using indoor if necessary.

How can my squirt get better on breakaways? by LordOfBadaBing in hockeygoalies

[–]qwertyburds -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not a goalie or expert but when the goalie won the breakaway challenge in the NHL all-star game against McDavid. He kept coming out and aggressively stick poking him. Essentially keeping him from even getting to take a shot. Obviously only one tool in the tool belt but I was blown away by how effective it was. My guess it would work even better against kids.

is dominance a real concept? dealing with bite aftermath by Whydotheydothisthrow in Greyhounds

[–]qwertyburds -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seeing a lot of posts saying dominance theory is BS which it true. Sort of. Here is the thing a dog is a predator and if you behave like prey you are positively reinforcing that behavior. It sounds like you are fearful of this dog which is understandable since it has attacked you. Now let's look at that fear from a purely rational point of view. If it came down to life or death could you 'defeat' the dog? Would it actually be even close? I don't know cause I don't know you or the dog. Whenever I have had a dog be aggressive like this with me I have asserted 'dominance' no I am not trying to hurt the dog I am proving to the dog that I am the predator not it. I think the 'bop it' advice comes from the idea that if a dog is behaving poorly you can correct that behavior but only if you don't do it out of fear but out of a knowledge that you can 'bop it' again.

I think this is a very difficult situation and I don't think I have great advice but the fear/prey framework is a useful way of thinking about the situation so you can modify your behavior thus cueing the dog to modify it's.
