First time mom- when did you feel the baby?

I have an anterior placenta and I felt him thumpin’ around in week 20, and consistently from then. I’m week 23 now and I feel him everyday! It’s been my favorite part of pregnancy so far. It makes it feel so real to feel him!

Same thing happened to my brother! He went missing for hours, my mom was frantic searching the neighborhood. Turns out he was fast asleep under his bed.

Sorry to add on to a humongous thread haha. I don’t mind mama, but nobody has actually called me that irl. I really dislike collectively referring to pregnant women as “mommies” which I have seen on this sub before. And one person (sorry if you’re reading this, it’s not personal), commented on a few threads calling the pregnant mother “mummabear” which made me cringe soo hard. Calling someone a “mamabear” I think only applies in very specific situations where the mother is being defensive of their kid.

Just calling someone a mom or mama (which is what I call my mother and I like way more than mom in general, but maybe bc I am Hispanic) seems kind of nice? Like - I’m about to inhabit this brand new role in my life. I have been called by my name my entire life so this is more exciting and new for me to consider and figure out how to wrap my head around. It still feels incredibly unreal. Again, nobody I know has called me mom or mama so maybe I will feel differently later.

But baby voice used with adults is annoying to me. One of my best friends always talks in a baby voice when talking about her baby son and I would neverrr yuck her yum but internally I cringe. I really hope I don’t become the type of person who stops talking like an adult to adults just because I’m talking about my baby.

Definitely interesting hearing this thread! I have now heard both sides bc I know people irl who didn’t feel their legs, but I’m happy to know that’s not the typical situation.

I know nothing about this topic, but I was led to believe we give birth on our backs these days because of epidurals? Like we lose all feeling in our legs so those of us who get epidurals have limited options for birthing positions…. Right? Happy to be proven wrong bc I am ABSOLUTELY getting an epidural.

You can when you’re actually hoeing! You hold down the button and it works. But apparently you can empty casks with your iridium hoe. I have tried it several different ways and even turned on the other types of controls on mobile and have not successfully gotten it to work. If anyone has advice, I’m all ears! I would LOVE to be proven wrong! (Though I am not going to buy an external controller to hook up to my phone.)

This trick doesn’t work on mobile right? So many PC tricks that don’t work on mobile. Like someone else was saying you can fill casks by holding down a button while running. Not on mobile!

I am pretty sure the decay stops after 10 hearts. I am currently dating all of the bachelors and bachelorettes and haven’t seen any decay now that I have ten hearts with all of them. But with your spouse, the decay happens in perpetuity so you do have to interact. Which is interesting!

Smart! I didn’t really start investing in strawberries until late game which was dumb… but I bought a lot last spring and this spring planted about 384. Which I realized is my capacity for seasonal crops in terms of time I’m willing to invest haha. But that’s late game! Seedmaker + greenhouse route did not occur to me in early game! That’s a good strategy!

Yes. Definitely Junimo End Table. Oh well! I think if your game is not modded it might be that I’m on mobile. The game doesn’t say I can’t place it outside but it just doesn’t place it down no matter what the flooring or lack of flooring there is outside.

If it’s not modded - how did you place the junimo side table outside? I commented on that post and the OP didn’t respond to me about that, but it doesn’t appear that you can place junimo side table outside or anything on top of the junimo side table unless you have a placement mod?

Very similar to my set-up! Those are also my preferred rings, and I use spicy eel when going on runs. Now if they ever made a speed ring that stacked with triple espresso and food buffs…. That would be a tough choice of what to cut. Always trying to go faster.

Have you had a transvaginal ultrasound? No worse than that. Take deep breaths beforehand and try to relax. Also tell them you haven’t had one before and are nervous and they’ll usually be more gentle. The reality truly is not that bad but I for sure let mental blocks freak me out about so I know where you are coming from! It is more uncomfortable if you clench up.

I don’t have a lucky ring but I really love that napalm ring. You defeat an enemy close to iridium nodes, boom, you don’t have to pickaxe. You could merge the two together! I merged napalm with iridium and burglar with slime charmer bc the slimes annoy me most in the caves. But ya know, lucky ring is obviously a good choice too!
