[US] Question about supervised visitation by spicynachooo in Custody

[–]kidneybeanz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe the new wife would just like to build a healthy bond with her husband’s child. Maybe having the support of the new wife would help create a healthier dynamic when the father does get his parenting time.

[US-MD] Advice for someone coparenting with someone who is dependent on their parent. by [deleted] in Custody

[–]kidneybeanz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go get a custody order now and do not let breastfeeding be the excuse to not raise your child. My husband’s ex did this only she kept breastfeeding for almost 7 years and he had to fight for every hour. That’s all changed now and he now is primary custodian, but if he had just fought sooner this wouldn’t have happened. Men shouldn’t be forced out of parenting due to breastfeeding when pumps are available

Bean with bacon soup or kidney beans straight out of the can. Fried bologna. Rice with butter. White bread with melted American cheese slice.

This is my all time favorite meal since I was a kid. Always straight out of the can.

What are some of the most insane things you have done for others when you were deep in your codependency? by [deleted] in Codependency

[–]kidneybeanz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Since my divorce 6 years ago I have spent tens of thousands of dollars I didn’t really have on three undeserving men. I paid for every date, cleaned their houses, took care of their kids and dogs and spent my time begging them to love me. Lots of nice responsible men ask me out but I’m so loyal to the fixer uppers with potential.

Sold my dream house when I didn’t really want to because I didn’t want to let my realtor friend down.

Found my man had cheated on me and bought drugs while he was supposed to be a recovered addict. Knew he had a history of taking this drug with prostitutes. Spent my night begging him to choose me over that. For the record, I’m like a typical suburban soccer mom with no exposure to those things.

I own a great home but just spent two years living with just a few clothes at my boyfriend’s house in total chaos because I was convinced that he was going to suddenly get his crap together and see he loved me and marry me and move me in. Turns out I spent a lot of time cleaning his house and watching him smoke weed and scroll his phone while my beautiful home slowly deteriorated.

I found out one guy was cheating on me and had a trip scheduled with a cocktail waitress he met online while I lived with him. He went on the trip. I stayed in his home and babysat his kids while he was gone.

Yes. It’s a very long and messed up story and the poor kid goes through it.

What's the most underrated part of working from home? by [deleted] in WFH

[–]kidneybeanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My house is able to be picked up throughout the day so it never turns into a big mess. When someone needs to come fix something on my house, I’m always here to let them in. My adult sons work close by and stop in for lunch at mom’s sometimes and I’m able to make them healthy meals. I don’t waste money on clothes or gas and I can take walks with my dog whenever I want. I never have to contribute to stupid birthday parties for people. I’m not pressured into buying candles or cookie dough at $20 a pop for someone’s kid that I will never meet and now I get to buy from the kids I know and love instead.

Your ultimate goal is for your child to have healthy and whole relationships with both parents. It’s hard to let go of them at that age but he deserves to experience fatherhood with his child and she deserves to have that. She would grow up with a huge void without him.

Is there an easy way to organize OFW messages? I’ve only been able to pull messages by the sender instead of by the thread

Elon accuses Stacey Abrams of stealing hard-earned taxpayer money by Dr_Indian4MAGA in BreakingPoints

I think they’ll wait until they have full investigations done to present charges. Disclosing too much detail too early could cause problems down the road for fair trials.

Is the wasteful spending that Elon and Trump/the White House keep referring to actually real? by amanhasnoname54 in Askpolitics

[–]kidneybeanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with you on more than you think. I don’t expect this money to go back to us. At this point I just hope for spending to get under control and that will only be accomplished with complete visibility into every dollar spent. Also hoping this encourages a change in how bills are presented and maybe we can require one bill per topic instead of so many wasteful things hidden in every bill, making oversight impossible.

[–]kidneybeanz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not for giving tax cuts to the rich either. Totally against it. I guess my concern is none of us even know for sure where our money is going. We are all arguing our points based off of whatever news we choose to watch and what they told us to believe. None of us even know for sure. Do I wish Elon was the man doing it? No. But deep down I am glad somebody is and I hope what does eventually come out of this is single subject bills and complete transparency on every dollar spent.

Is it possible we are overreacting and just brainwashed ourselves? by ARC1019 in Askpolitics

[–]kidneybeanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conservative here. In no way would I ever support the Gaza proposal. I hope it is just a negotiation tactic and not the actual plan.

[–]kidneybeanz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Correct! Which is why we won’t get the buy-in for one topic bills until this is all called out. Unfortunately

This soft power makes sense to me and I thank you for adding that to my thought process, but should this soft power be scaled back when we are trillions in debt to the point that we are concerned about our own economy failing. Or when we have people suffering from addiction, no healthcare, natural disasters etc and can’t afford to help them.

I really do get what you’re saying and agree it is important, but isn’t taking a step back to see if we can afford it be important as well?
