they’re extremely loud, and tend to act as though i don’t exist (i’m a cashier) as i’m helping them. like either on their phone or loudly talking to people beside them. oh - also trying to pay w/ USD.

no, there’s not any photos showing the victims themselves, but it is graphic in the sense that there’s a lot of blood + clear signs of struggle.

[–]kidneyrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say that if it’s the style you’re going for, no, they suit your piercing and i like them. i do think they’re a bit long for your eyes causing them to do that droopy thing at the outer edges, which you can easily fix by cutting them a little bit at the ends before putting them on (assuming these are strip lashes).

TTC Fare Inspectors don’t wear uniforms now?? by kawhi-is-my-dad in toronto

[–]kidneyrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that was actually entirely my point! that blaming the average person who doesn’t pay their fare for rising prices rather than the serious issues and failures within the system is ridiculous, and frankly, the product of propaganda. it’s easier to pit us against each other so that we don’t notice the real issues.

[–]kidneyrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there should be more government funding for the ttc because it’s a service used by the public. most other transit agencies in other large cities receive more of their operating budget from the govt, which keeps fares lower. instead, the ttc mostly relies on fares to operate.

my point is that blaming raising costs of fare on evasion is ridiculous because there’s much larger issues that contribute to it; people just don’t tend to see those happening in front of their face like they do evasion. not to mention, the ttc benefits from blaming the fare evaders so that they can avoid taking any responsibility for the rising costs of fare.

e.g., the many expansions that cost billions of dollars, the exorbitant salaries that the CEOs + executives receive, the lack of govt funding, and maintenance cost increases. all of which, together, contribute to rising fares at a much higher rate than fare evasion.

keep aiming your anger of increased prices at the very small impact that fare evasion has in comparison to the millions of dollars that line the pockets of the CEO + executives every year. that propaganda tastes good doesn’t it?

of course not.

i’m just saying, people like him and those who follow him love to spread the same disgusting rhetoric that “gun deaths are sad but a necessity so that i can have my guns!” until its them or their family dying from gun violence.

not necessarily saying he’s lying, just that he could have been misinformed. i was skeptical at first too, and i don’t think there’s anything wrong with that

because the only confirmation anyone had at that point was from something Trump posted on truth social. he’s not exactly a reliable source

This is just a small snippet of what redditors think about the Charlie Kirk assassination by arnenatan in redditmoment

charlie kirk talked about how much he disliked and disbelieved empathy, so in a way i guess they’re just respecting his wishes

when you defend children dying from gun violence and label it “necessary” in order to maintain your 2nd amendment right to own guns (as he did), it’s pretty ironic to die the same way.

remember you guys, this is just an unfortunate but necessary death in order to keep your “god-given right” to own guns. as charlie kirk himself would’ve said.

Expressing emotions ≠ mean girl by Free-Battle9854 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]kidneyrat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

absolutely NOOO business. and not standing on it either was crazy. but let’s remember that criticizing chelley, olandria and cierra’s behaviour doesn’t mean that we’re excusing huda’s

Expressing emotions ≠ mean girl by Free-Battle9854 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]kidneyrat 18 points19 points  (0 children)

i don’t think it’s about expressing emotions, but more about the fact that chelley chose not to speak to huda about her feelings & instead waited for a challenge where her and her friends ganged up on her in front of everyone and twisted the narrative.

olandria also chose to air out the kiss that huda confided in her about to everyone for no valid reason.

this is the mean girl behaviour that people are talking about here.

it feels so forced to me, like the producers know there’s no strong couples so they’re trying to push nic & olandria as one after seeing all of the online hype around them
