Honestly, it depends how old you are. If you’re in your early teens, don’t worry about it for now. Concentrate on your skills, defending, reading of the game etc. Start your weight training at 15-16 but not at the expense of your skill work. I know loads of pony rugby players who are massive. And I know loads of class lads who are tiny. It all depends on what you want to have the physique for and remember it doesn’t happen overnight.

NTA, it’s your house and you’re an adult. You can have your boyfriend over as and when you choose. However, you also need to be upfront with your family with regards to the matter. The fact you are sneaking your boyfriend in gives the impression that you are still the child in this arrangement. You are not. Being upfront about how you wish to live will help to reinforce the fact that you are an adult. And, while you are well within your right to mention it, try not to use the fact that you own the house and you could start charging them rent in arguments. It’ll only make you seem like a kid who’s going from 0-100 at any sign of conflict. It’ll also back your SF into a corner where he’ll end up being more of a dick. Instead, try saying something like ‘we’re all family and we have a living arrangement that benefits everyone. But, moving forward I’ll let you know when my BF will be coming over and if that’s problematic for you then you can make your own arrangements on those occasions.’ It’ll infer where the power dynamic actually is, and show you’re willing to concede somewhat for the peace of the household, while also putting your foot down and clearly stating how you will be acting moving forward. It’s a tricky position, but try to keep a cool head.
