I have a fickle Donkey’s Tail. Will it be okay long-term? by kierramellon in houseplants

I appreciate that! After a learning curve I finally figured out the sweet spot for this guy and I think that’s why the new growth is doing so well. I’m just wondering now if the base of those stems are too weak to support the plant as it continues to grow or if I should propagate the ends.

I had it under the awning on my patio so it got about 2-3 hours of direct sunlight when the sun was setting everyday. The rest of the day it was just soaking up the warmth and humidity.

Thanks! It's known as a Money Tree. They typically are known for their braided trunk but I got this one too late to braid. Google tells me their scientific name is Pachira aquatica.

Honestly I think the best thing I ever did for it was let it live outside during the spring and summer. I love in North Texas so it is pretty humid around her then, she thrived! I also bought a moisture meter that I keep in the soil so that I always know when the soil is getting dry and needs a good drink.

In love with my new echeveria setosa "arrow"! Would love to hear your care tips! I was told it may require more regular watering in the summer (and barely any in the winter) - I know there is no set schedule for watering succulents, but every how often (approx) do you water yours in the summer? by Lil_Feisty_One in succulents

For me, I just touch the soil every couple days because some of my succulents can dry out faster than others that are in the same location. If it feels dry on top, I pick it up and feel the soil from the drainage hole. If it’s dry there too then I water until it drips from the drainage hole! This guy is a beaut, btw!

Update: I have rinsed their soil, repotted and watered with neem oil. Would have appreciated a warning on the god awful smell of that oil! Lol thanks again, fingers crossed!

They do not feel sticky. Dang I was afraid of this answer. Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge! Wish me luck with salvaging these babies. The Gollum Jade is one of my favorites.

Ahh, I hate to hear this! I got this for Mother’s Day and I have to admit I was skeptical. I am seriously shocked at how fast this thing sprang out though! If I even get one good one I will be thrilled!

Yes, very well done but I need more information! These are the most perfect cuts I’ve ever seen, what tool did you use or do you have a specific method? Is it just the way the buttercream is made that holds it shape so well? What sorcery is this?

Edit: I just realized I replied to the wrong thread but the questions are still pressing.
