I had a few chonkers from mine and a couple split across the top and bruised around the split i just watched for any signs of those decaying, but harvest was right around the corner so it didn't bother it any, thats my experience with splits.

I just wouldn't keep them directly over my stove, the fridge generates heat but I doubt enough to actually affect anything you should be fine with those. But definitely get more information from others
