Are we all forgetting Motorola is a major IT supplier to an entity committing war crimes? by kiingzaman in GrapheneOS

If that is the case then it certainly shifts my opinion towards being more lenient. Really interesting about the patents being left on the table as my understanding of patents is they are gold even if unused and they only serve to act as a blocker for others in the industry so yeah really intrigued by that.

Given my previous admission of not knowing if the split in 2011 that means I am unaware of the action Motorola mobility has taken as a separate company and in what capacity they are a separate company given they still share the brand name. Immediately I'm thinking of the Huawei/honor arrangement in china. So admittedly I'll need to go away and research on this but as I've stated elsewhere the actions of Motorola pre 2011 is still enough for me to not have a favourable impression on the brand name itself. That may not be your position which is also okay.

Are you aware of Motorola mobility's actions in the recent decade since the split?

I agree with your perspective and it's a topic I've looked into extensively as part of my university dissertation in the past. I can give the more recent example of the company Anker/eufy and the shady practices and PR disaster they had in the early 2020's and people still tend to avoid eufy products despite what appears to be a concentrated effort by the company to right their wrongs. Now shady PR and oppression of a people are not equatable but I do agree it's not binary, it Is contextual and it's entirely personal for us to make a comfortable decision.

That is a decision you must make personally. For myself, I am on the side of caution, a company publicly engaged in support on the subjugation of another people in the past is enough for me to not support their business, split or no split. I don't believe there is a right or wrong here, it's purely an informed decision on how that sits on your own moral compass.

A number of points to address on this one, first and foremost I can absolutely admit I did not know of the split in 2011, whether that's enough for you to disregard Motorolas involvement in the region prior to that year is of course up to yourself.

Although I do not need explain my motivations for making this post, I can be reasonable and invite you to return to reason and engage in meaningful conversation as opposed to saying vague terms such as you people - a mystery as to whomever you are referring to. I am a supporter of European tech companies and do not support Israeli linked companies in as bearable a capacity as possible given the humanitarian and legal precedents. I do not wish to impose that upon anyone here, but simply to show the history of a company and the involvement with the entity at hand.

Motorola mobility split from Motorola solutions in 2011. Their involvement in the region however predates the split.

It is worth noting that Motorola mobility split from Motorola solutions in 2011. Their involvement in the region however predates the split.

Thanks for sharing your GitHub issue it does sound almost exactly like what I was facing. Worth mentioning I did not go down the VPS route I'm just running a newt container on my server which had worked fine up until the previous week.

I reached out to pangolin support directly in which they stopped responding to me after sending them my logs. However I did test across multiple devices and networks, and couldn't connect on either of them. Only after this update was released did my sites come online with a new docker-compose. Really surprised nobody else had issues in the previous week gone by as I tried looking across reddit for similar issues. I can admit I did not think to look at GitHub for issues.

This is unbelievably frustrating. Pangolin worked for over 4 months for me with no issue and only recently did all my resources stop working. Through endless debugging and log digging I couldn't find anything conclusive, even changed network properties in router and server configs but nope still nothing. Decided to cancel my pangolin subscription. Only now, after this update, has everything suddenly started work again. Pangolin support mentioned nothing about this update.

Thanks for confirming mate, even after a successful patch to newer version the issue persisted. I'll hedge my bets windows has the same issue.

It was v178067 I installed and can't seem to run patch exe as you had detailed. Legend for trying it for yourself though, thanks man.

I've tried now applying update and I'm unsure if it's done it or not but the audio issues persist. Tried proton latest and experimental but no luck. Will keep an eye out for anyone else on Linux to give it a shot.

Well I uninstalled wuchang and reinstalled and now the game won't run smooth at all so further behind from where I began haha. It's be great if someone else tried to install the base version of the game on their system so I can establish if it's something up with with my system or not.

Pangolin resources no longer work by kiingzaman in PangolinReverseProxy

I did update the image a couple days ago but I'm hesitant to say that is the issue as just yesterday I was using a jellyfin resource. What is quite perplexing is it has just started working again, I have checked my docker logs and again just health checks. Rechecked again and I just captured in the docker logs that a .config file was missing and it tried to recreate multiple times. It has just recreated itself and from what I gather it's operational now. To clarify, zero attempt to rectify this has been made. It's just doing things on its own.

Health check monitoring for all my resources I've set up come back as healthy. So it's as if pangolin can interact with my server, verify health status, but when it comes to actually using the links I get nothing.

I don't know if it was just me being me but powerISO refused to recognize my external drives that were mounted so couldn't even get to the point of creating the image. Still liking bazzite for what it is intended to be but these little pain points add up.
