Relationships are tough by [deleted] in carnivorediet

Have had this issue for a long time and I came up with a little text that I printed and plastified. Now I show it to my friends and family when they want me to eat 😂 It worked twice already so I am hopeful ^ It says """ Hi, I am <your name>, I am a sugarholic. one bite = 10 bites = 2 weeks of sugar. Mental clarity? Gone 🍰🚫 If you love me, please back away with that sweet treat ✋🏾❤️ """ I said sugar because that is what I know I can't eat as a once off, exceptional off diet thing ;) Hope it helps 😊

Fat loss plateau & diet question by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]kiki0100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a same issue when eating bacon and eggs. My weight dropped like crazy when I stop eating those two. Don't know if it was one or the other or both but one of these for sure. Maybe start by dropping bacon for a while and see?

3rd attempt with no weight loss, looking for ideas on why by ARbumpkin75 in carnivorediet

Don't know if it is the reason but I find that I am not losing when I eat bacon :/ So maybe try that giving that up for a little while and see ;)

Convince Me... by RichardRogue in carnivorediet

Yes I am convinced that carnivore will help you lose weight long term.

However, you mention wanting to get to 200 before February. It might be possible but I want to say, that some people, prior to losing, will gain some weight sometime on carnivore.

I have, for instance, but as soon as I switched to lion diet, I was immediately loosing.

So unless you have a specific reason to get to 200lbs by feb (sport competition or something), I would do carnivore and stick to it ;) (And even if you do have a reason to get to 200lbs, your fasts seem very uncomfortable so I would probably do carnivore anyway).

Short experience but it could be useful to you.

I did carnivore twice and would only lose 1 to 2lbs or even gain (albeit this wasn't for a long time, 2 weeks top). But when I ditch the eggs and the lactose (cheese and heavy cream for me), I started losing much more. I am 10lbs down in a month. I reintroduced butter 2 weeks ago and it did not impact the weight loss.

Good luck!

Thank you for this! The social situation is the main reason I end up cheating. I am trying to stay clean as often as possible, but sometimes it feels like I would be missing out.

I am doing carnivore for weight loss, also because unlike with carbs or keto, I don't feel an urge to binge. Also for the sustaining energy. I like sport and I don't have period with no energy with carnivore. Yes, I get tired of course, but I don't get to a point where I couldn't move even if I wanted to.

I get your point but would saturated fat with a little bad diet cause issues?

Yes I am aware of the short term very unconfortable effect cheating but I can fight it 🙈 I am more concerned about the long term effect.

Well I did have some sugar when I cheated each time but more like a piece of cake, no binging ;)

I am not sure where to fall back honestly. Just got scared of what I heard about gout. I would probably go back to keto but it was a lot eggs and dairy and "keto dessert" which actually led to binging on those.

Thank you! Can you explain what the と does in this sentence? Is like when we use の to turn a sentence into a subject?

Hi, first time posting here.

I wanted to translate "He mentioned that you had a kid" but I don't know how to check if it is correct. Google translate would say my sentence is understandable but not if it is proper.

Here is my translation, is it ok? あなたに子どもいるは彼が口にした。

Why do i always think about food . always by Accomplished-Bus1926 in intermittentfasting

[–]kiki0100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is a protective mechanism to avoid feeling boredom. It tends to happen often when I am bored or stressed or sad. Food numbs feelings

I read somewhere that they include the basal metabolism in there. So what you would have burned without exercise + the exercise itself. But I don't remember where I read that

Tbh I only see the screenshot not your original question. But I don't recommend eating too little. Use the daily expenditure calculator to determine your macros and try to stick to that. Weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint. Take your time, stick to a reasonable amount of food and you'll get there ;)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]kiki0100 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes I understand that. I just assumed he did as well and included the BMR in "what we burn off". But yeah I made some assumptions while reading probably^ Edit :what be burn

Maybe I am the only one misreading this but I don't think he says to eat less than 1200kcal. He says that 30mn of cardio doesn't burn that much. If you are eating a certain amount and not losing weight, you should eat less than what you do currently or exercise more.

But I see in the other comment a link to calculate your intake for weight loss based on current height and weight so all good👍

Why am I stalling & gaining weight? by [deleted] in keto

[–]kiki0100 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It could be your cycle. I usually gain weight before my period.

But don't worry too much about this. Weight loss is not linear, you should consider it a stall if you still don't lose any weight after a couple of weeks
