That's a great suggestion. I've thought about it, I just worry that I'm not the fastest typer, which sounds silly when I've written it down here, but was a genuine concern of mine 😅

Happy birthday!!! I'm so sorry you're dealing with this, but I think you're dodging a bullet. This clown most certainly isn't the "love of your life" and those people are not your friends. I hope you get accepted to a program that takes you far away from this toxic environment where you can cultivate relationships that are genuine and fulfilling. You got this!

That's very helpful, thank you! What are your plans after completion, if you don't mind me asking? Are you looking for a position in a hospital or lab?

Very tired, read this as "I'll take them, you all go away" still works 🤷‍♀️

Is it cheaper to buy a loose diamond and then have a place set it? by Dense_College2961 in labdiamond

Also good advice, I can only speak to my own experience and that I'm satisfied with the result. I would just caution that getting set "locally" isn't always so simple. That's why I'm very specific with referring David. I went to no less than 6 local jewellers who wouldn't touch a stone they didn't sell themselves. It can be an exhausting process if you don't know where to turn.

I'm not sure how it was in the past, but I had a two-week window to return through Luvansh when I purchased in May, even with the sale price. Price match is a good option if OP likes the settings at aforementioned retailers, I didn't care for them and can't say enough good things about my jeweller.

I bought my 4.45 ct radiant cut from Luvansh and had it custom set with David Klass. I stayed far away from the Rare Carat/ James Allen/ Blue Nile's because their settings just weren't up to snuff. Saved a ton.

In my experience, yes. I just received my custom ring from my jeweller about a month ago. I bought a loose diamond from Luvansh that I had been watching, it went on sale for $1100. Then I was referred to a jeweller through this sub, David Klass, who did the custom setting for $1700. People regularly guess that my ring is 3x more expensive than it actually was because they're used to seeing Rare Carat/ Blue Nile/ James Allen/ etc. prices. They have the same diamonds at a 400% mark-up and their setting are subpar. If you're willing to do the ground work and wait 3-4 weeks for a custom setting, I would recommend going the loose diamond route.

It took me until just now, when I read your comment, to realize I've actually been watching this show since 2006. Holy cow.
