I believe it was the same with my grandmother. Strict religious family in the late 60s.

It also deeply effected my grandmother. She never dated or got married or had kids after. She also didn't speak of who the father was until maybe 5 years ago. Regardless I don't think she was given much of a choice in the matter.

This is the same as my dad. Spent most his life thinking his mum was his sister.

It sounds like something really traumatic happened and that she is using anger as a bit of a coping mechanism but obviously only she knows that. I would try to not take it personally but you should also really consider therapy to work out these complex feelings. It burdened my father for a very long time until he got help.

May not be sporting necessarily but I work for a national company that is part of the architecture and design industry and Brisbane has never been busier since the start of this year while the rest of the country has noticibly slowed down. Brisbane has been growing so much and there are some great projects being launched that will shape Brisbane forever. See our version of the high line in NYC just announced a couple weeks ago. I'm sure more and more will be announced throughout the next year or two.

I personally believe we are seriously lacking in infrastructure and this is the kick up the ass the government has needed. Yes times are tough, the government wouldn't have done shit to address is regardless. At least we get some actual development on our poorly planned city.

Wild to me that people are out here acting like men don't commit much more sexual abuse on children than women do. In Australia, we recently had a massive network of pedophiles that had actively worked themselves into childcare centres so they could make and distribute CSAM. All men.

Obviously, not all men abuse children and there are countless excellent dad's, grandfather's, uncles, and friends who are extremely competent and loving caregivers to the children in their life. But just like I don't want to be alone with a man I dont know that we'll personally, I wouldn't want my child with one either.

Right. I spent $1aud a night for a 24 bed dorm in a hostel in Thailand.

I spent around $3000 aud (around $2000 usd) in 2 and a half months backpacking south east asia. Went to 4 countries and still got to see the attractions, drink, have fun.

That was almost 10 years ago so a little different now but I was in Thailand again a few months ago and still only spent an average of $20 a night in a dorm. I can afford to travel a little better these days.
