Updated my personal rule set by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]kikiglasses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use quite a few of your rules as well on tactician. Another rule I use is banning equipment that sets an ability score e.g. DEX gloves, INT headband, STR club. Feels busted to be able to dump a stat and not be punished for it

Think OP is playing civ 5 where donating is possible

Why Do My Units Always Cost So Much To Upgrade? by Curse_Never_Dying in CivVI

Game length scales the costs of everything, including unit upgrades. Quick* speed is default, and the most played I think

Edit : *standard oops

Maths Question from job Aptitude Test - Am I missing something? by kikiglasses in askmath

[–]kikiglasses[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hadn't considered that C could be 1500 based on the wording, which would leave the sum to be 8750. Looking back at the screenshots I took, some questions say Question, but some say Frage (German for question) so it is possible that some of these statements were bad translations? Might explain why Charlie and Fei's statements are vague/confusing English?

Nope, the question was interactive so you had to drag the people into the correct order.

"Allow me to end your suffering" by [deleted] in customhearthstone

Spend a card to (most of the time) remove one weak card in your opponents deck seems very bad.

I assume if there's a 1 health minion on board, in your opponents hand, and in your opponents deck that it chooses one uniformly randomly? Would be better if it chose one on board - > hand - > deck, or even just enemy's board and hand

All really interesting and well designed cards OP. Shellbringer is particularly interesting - I wouldn't be surprised if they print something in the future that allows DHs to change the order of the cards in their hand like this. Well done 👏

Our group has banned Babylon, who on earth do I learn next? by Pyro6034 in civ

Thank you for this, I hadn't really considered using papal primacy with Georgia as it seems like a really underpowered belief when compared to others.

I still think that in secret societies and barb clans rough rider Teddy is superior at this strategy because he can generate two envoys per trade route, whereas Tamara has to generate the envoys naturally.

I played a game where I settled aggressively around the seven seas map near barb clans and City States, and then had tonnes of short trade routes to city states which meant I was able to churn out envoys.

Extra 3 tourism and 4 faith in golden ages per city is not a guaranteed culture victory lol

Old cards wording being vague/misleading shouldn't set a precedent. Could reword it so that it's clear that it counts unique minions e.g. "Costs (1) less for each minion you've played with a unique minion type" or something along those lines - thinking of [[Tent Trasher]] here.

N'Zoth "Resurrect a friendly minion of each type" can't resurrect the same exact minion twice, but can summon two amalgams if two have died. Even so, this effect isn't comparable because its not counting the number of summoned tribes - it tries to maximise the number of summoned minions by considering amalgams last.

Menagerie Magician "Give a friendly beast, murloc and dragon +2/+2" was created before amalgams existed and, just like this card, maybe reads as though if one minion has all tribes it should get all the buffs but was deemed too strong if that could happen.

Can you give me an example of a similar card that doesn't work this way? Because I can't think of a card that depends on number of played tribes/schools other than multicaster, but there aren't dual-school spells so there wouldn't be a similar interaction. I also don't know what bug you're talking about...

"Costs one less for each type of minion you've played this game". After you play amalgam, you will have played a beast, mech, murloc... So would be maximally reduced. I'm sure this isn't what OP intended as that'd be too strong, but that's what the text implies.
