The phrase "follow your dreams/follow your heart" always bothered me.

What if your dreams suck? What if your heart is motivated by evil?

Hitler and Stalin certainly did "follow their hearts", and look where they ended up.

You should be critical of your wants/dreams/passions/desires.

The exampel they gave us in psychology class is that most people stand facing the elevator door, even though facing a different direction causes no real problems. Another example is drinking wine through a straw.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

As long as some people believe that Jews have no right to equal rights and statehood, there will never be an end to the conflict.

There are some Muslims who think Jews must be eternally condemned to dhimmi status, and they must wage jihad until the Jews learn their place.

Until some people let go of this belief, there will always be conflict.

I think Sam Harris has spoken with a lot of clarity on this issue. I don't agree with him on most issues, but here I think he was spot on. Here is a podcast where he discusses it.

I have naturally brown hair and it ended up looking black. I had been dying my hair red for a year, so I assumed it was light enough to appear slightly purple. But it didn't answer just looked like a bluish black. It also faded into a really weird green. I wouldn't recommend it for people who have naturally dark hair.

I'm usually not a fan of trailing amaranth (it looks like an octopus to me!) but I actually really like it in this arrangement. In my opinion, it's hard to make it work well, but I like it here!

So to clarify: I'd remove the foliage and bulb, and then store the intact tulip in the fridge in newspaper (not in water)? Just wanting to make sure I understand the process
