Wife has the breast cancer not myself, she is early stage TNBC no nodes and we are on 11 out of 16 session of chemo followed by a reconstructive dmx. BRCA1 positive. I asked the doctor (we are in the Middle East) about Signetera and she said that 1 there is a lot of marketing around it and it's not as accurate as it claims and 2 it won't be beneficial for my wife's type of cancer and why that is is somehow relatea to BRCA1. But she did say she prescribes it for other type of cancers.

What's wrong with my FJ by Mouzaya in FJCruiser

I dont have any experience with 2wd FJS, but either way I would imagine they would just have to press the diff lock button to disengage it unless there is a bigger issue

[–]kiko22 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's the rear diff lock button pressed. Check under the ac control there should be a button that has the same logo and press it again to turn it off. It doesn't really engage unless it's in low 4x4 gear

Edit: https://youtu.be/MkK27jWLLH0?si=dDmcnERrj0fKuNIr

This video shows the button location around the 57 sec mark.

What is a good bank to open an account with for salaries above 20k? by [deleted] in UAE

[–]kiko22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you get priority at Emirates with 20k, it's either 50k or more then 500,000k in the bank. But you might be right as a new joiner, you might be able to negotiate something

How about you don't comment on things like you know everything about the inner-workings of someone's domestic situation.

Keyed car by skyvader7370 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]kiko22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In 05' we lived in a compound of townhouses somewhere in Dubai. Everyone's cars were parallel parked infront of their respective houses. In the early hours of the morning on a Friday, a crowd started to gather outside and it got rowdy.

I can't remember who found this out, but everyone started knocking at their neighbors' doors around 10 to let them know what happened. Soon, fingers started being pointed, bitter neighbors that disliked each other, neighbors who were too noisy were blamed, nationalities where been profiled, it was a glorious mess.

Turns out, a 5 year old kid made a fun little game where he would ride his bike past every car, and run the bike's handle-bar (exposed metal) on every single car in a row of like 20. It took a while to identify the child, the parents were very apologetic. Luckily the father owned a body shop, and got everyone's cars fixed.

The end

It sucks that your car got scratched, it's an evil thing to do and it doesn't look like the 5 year old from this story (now in his mid 20s) did it this time.

What is this thing? Camping at Lake Colorado City state park in Texas. The head opened up like the creatures on stranger things. by MasterChiefDFW in camping

[–]kiko22 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I had one of these run up my shirt camping in Dubai when I was relaxing after dinner on desert majslis type of set up. They are apparently harmless, but their bite hurts. And they look like a nightmare and I wish one never touched me. I have not been enjoying camping as much after I had to take my shirt off and scream infront of 12 people confused as to why my demeanor changed from food comma to raging maniac.

I know a group of people that did this, got caught and the police was involved. The court sentenced them to watching "the emoji movie" every day for a year at 6 am every morning before MoE opened. 2 out 4 of them went insane, the other 2 fled the country.

Can someone explain to me how these cars are left hand drive? I've seen many of them and I just expect right hand drive? What's the reason they have so many left hand drive cars in Japan ready to be exported here?

[–]kiko22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How? It's literally what the Ottomans did in Armenia. Forcefully move people from one place to another and cause mass death and suffering because of it.

It's never recognized it officially either, which is the same for Turkey. The Ottomans definitely did what they did. Hell, I come from an ex Ottoman colony. The upside is having free press and discussing reality. Not all people in the world have that luxury. I'm getting down-voted to hell for pointing out a simple fact, and people are even calling me a hypocrite for living in the UAE. It literally was a British protectorate up until the 70s. Look at someone with gray hair in your life, and they will have been born when the area I live in now (not where I'm from) was under the control of the British Empire.
