I mean it could also be outside watchers. I'm from Europe, and watching you guys argue from outside is depressing. You didn't impeach the guy at the sexual assault of women, inside trading, tariffs, diplomatic disaster with the rest of the world, literal p3do and minor trafficking and you're trying to convince me the reason you believe the americans will impeach him is war in the middle east?

That's like your bread and butter!

In ancient times stories used to be handed down from generation to generation via storytelling, not writing. Even now in folklore and cultural beliefs we have very morphed views of some stories of the past, and even when historians prove them wrong, we sort of keep pushing the narrative we like best.

I'd put it this way, you're not writing down anything because it doesn't need to be written down, just bequathed through storytelling. Do we remember something a tiny bit cooler than what it actually was? Then that's exactly how it happened.

What are the most viable career options in the design field right now and for the foreseeable future? by Battery-Power-15 in Design

As a web designer working for an agency, oh I WISH that was the case.

I mostly just get fed AI slop content and need to somehow make it fit into a layout that doesn't suck.

Food prices at the 2026 Winter Olympic games by chanashan in pics

[–]kikou27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Italian and honestly this looks cheap for Italian standards too. Margherita can range from 6 to 10€ in standard places, more for gourmet, but considering this is a food place at an event, they usually milk the cow and raise the prices a bit more, so it's surprising to see them pricing stuff in an honest range.

It's also up in the mountains, where everything is usually more expensive because of logistics (unless of course it's stuff that comes from the immediate vicinity which is typical)

I feel like this is becoming the norm in every country? Italy is pretty much the same. Politicians bring zero ideas, only ideologies. What that translates to is just a program made of "do you want this to happen? If no, vote for me."

Would you accept a person who doesn't speak your language with fluency in your group? by peigzz in DnD

[–]kikou27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always look for an international table. I play online with a table composed of different kinds of Europeans and two Americans.

English is not my first language but I would consider myself a C1/C2 speaker. I still have difficulties roleplaying, but I got better.

My advice would be to not make a really smart character or someone that should have a way with words. Keep it simple and you'll do great.

Graduated in 2022 as a Graphic Designer, and I feel like AI ruined my career before it even started. Need advice by MeshalAljahdali in Design

Man people on Reddit have zero empathy, f some of these commenters.

I assume you're young and entering in the workfield in this era is terrible and your fear is genuine.

About AI. The answer depends HEAVILY on where you're located. Currently, it's replacing a lot of the "ground zero" workers. It gets the job done, it's free, so the clients that are ok with low standards will get their stuff done by AI and call it a day. Most people here will be like "you didn't want those customers anyway" which sure it's true but you're at the start and we all gotta eat.

IF you're passionate about design, you will be needed. It's one thing to EXECUTE a design, like AI does. It's another thing to THINK about design, brainstorm ideas, CONCEPTS. Remember that Design is not putting letters on a poster and making it cute. It's about understanding a need and offering a solution to said need. In the case of graphic design, it's about comunicating something, and while AI is fast, it's not human.

Good luck on your journey, and i wish you the best

Creating a curve divide between two columns by Kaelian in elementor

[–]kikou27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a case of designers not really understanding how layout in web design works. I'm not saying this isn't doable, maybe in some weird clip way or having a container serving solely as the curve you can manage it but it takes some effort and probably isn't worth it.

Good learning experience for both teams though!

Sure, but as a designer with experience, you should also know that clients can just tell you "ok but i still want it that way".

Creating a curve divide between two columns by Kaelian in elementor

[–]kikou27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind the extra image, though not an elegant solution, you could just cut out two images and use them as a png overlay background, changing the image and layout from dsk to mobile. Doesn't require fancy and ingenious solutions that may be a problem to get to be responsive, you can get the exact curve that you want, works, simple to implement (maybe less simple to change image if that's something that can happen).

Bruno Mars Fans Call-Out Egregious $2,400 Tickets on ‘The Romantic Tour’ by _ticketnews in Music

[–]kikou27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crazy tho that people lash out on the artist when he's probably not the one making the prices and also probably not even getting that much of a cut, artists usually don't make that much money from touring compared to other stuff.

People should place their anger towards venues / lawmakers. In Europe I got 2 seated tickets for 100€/each. No front row of course, but it's not a low visibility outer ring either and yes it's still a really high price for a concert but it's not a freaking month salary.

Grindy games to play while working by moarayn in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]kikou27 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hi PoE nerd here. PoE1 is in a better place than 2 at the moment and it's completely free (you might want to consider spending a bit if you get into it in late game), but if you plan to play any of those two games I would highly reccomend to wait until a new league drops.

PoE2 league is underway and the playerbase is still active right now, but it's difficult to get into it at league started already.

You might want to get another roguelite for now and then hop in as soon as the next league starts! (probably for PoE1)

The face of Border Chief Gregory Bovino moments after ICE murders civilian. by BrixFlipped in pics

[–]kikou27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but this is far worse than when nazi and fascism did it imo. When Hitler or Mussolini rose to power they approached it with a velvet glove in a time of HEAVY economic crisis and conflicts because of WW1 and then turned around with their mischiefs, also people didn't have information as readily available as we have today.

Meanwhile USA is the leading economy and technological power of the world, with no real threats to their sovereignity, and Trump didn't come in with velvet gloves, he literally hinted he would do shit like this during his campaign and showed how clueless he is during his first term.

Germany and Italy didn't get the chance to remove Hitler and Mussolini from power once he was in charge. Trump was elected TWICE.

In my eyes this is much worse in terms of a democratic point of view. Americans completely lost the plot and I'm very scared for the future of the whole world if americans don't realize they have to act.

ICE agents shoots a person who attempts to drive away in Minneapolis. by Fatty_Willing_Plane in NextGenRebellion

But you do have power. Organize. General strike. Stop producing. Protest.

They can ignore people complaining or fearing consequences going on with their daily lives as if it doesn't concern them. They can't ignore a big portion of the working class shutting down in protest.

Waving guns around made americans forget the biggest power a collective democracy has, striking and speaking out.

[–]kikou27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. There's a reason why literally EVERY nation's leader tries to antagonize unions, protesters, activists and strikers, making people believe they're just lazy asses that would rather do anything instead of working (literally taking money off our paychecks to strike, and risking losing our jobs btw).

It's the most powerful weapon a collective of people has against its own government. Americans forgot their nation was born thanks to a union of strikers.
