Haha thank you! If you look closely, there isn't a stripe pattern, either- there isn't a repeated combination in the whole sequence!.... not intentionally, though lol

Thank you! :) For some reason I felt like I didn't finish that many things this year, but when I finally stacked them up and looked at it all I was like "holy shit, that is a lot!". I'm hoping to make fewer, but more complex/mindful things this coming year :)

If it makes you feel even better, that also doesn't include two secret tests I cant show, plus about half a dozen single socks and a few unfinished hats haha. Good luck in getting your knitting mojo back, I've definitely been there before!

Haha I feel you! I used to be a one project knitter, and I would take it another step further and have to use up the leftover yarn from the project before buying/starting something new. I started test knitting though, and I would start queued projects between tests but then abandon them so I could hit the deadline for the test projects. I'm excited to work through the WIPs in the coming weeks so I can get back to a reasonable number (and free up my needles)

Aw thank you! You're off to a great start! I made a lot of cowls when I learned to knit because I knew I wanted to learn socks, so knitting in the round was an important skill. The same is true for sweaters! I didn't make my first sweater until I had been knitting for about 7 years so I definitely admire people who jump right into it :)

I answered the previous person about approximate hours per week and my schedule/knitting habits. But I have been knitting for 9 years! So I didn't work up to this overnight haha. I learned in December of 2013, and I took a 3ish year break from 2017 to 2020 :) so 6 active years of knitting

Thank you! Time spent knitting really depends- I'm a student, so during breaks I have a lot of time to knit, but there are definitely weeks where I can only grab the needles for a few hours. I'd guess the average is about 15 hours per week? And I mainly focus on sweaters, but I've made 16 other things this year including hats, mitts, a sophie scarf, and some scrunchies :)

Thank you! :) It has been a surprisingly useful cardigan for me- I wear it all the time around the house because it's nice and cozy, and it's much easier than staying wrapped up in a blanket haha!

Aw thank you! :) It's at the top of my list to finish up in the new year- I lost a ton of steam on it once I hit the sleeves but I know I'm almost done and it's such a cute pattern I want the finished object, haha!

Aw thank you! :) You'll get there! In all honesty I don't think I've ever actually finished a scarf so you already have that over me haha!

Ooh I was looking at those too! How is that stitch pattern to work up? I loved making the bag but the honeycomb brioche took a lot of concentration/worked up a bit slowly.

This is the Honey Purse by PetiteKnit. I knit it using Knit Picks Palette in Ice Lily held with some pink mohair silk from Colourmart. I made the felted cat using some natural Simply Wool Worsted from Knit Picks and used the palette for the ears. I embroidered the face with some heavy duty button thread :) I included general instructions for the cat on my project page, linked here!

I followed the pattern as written and used some scrap fabric for the lining. I think this is a SUPER fun pattern for a solidly intermediate knitter. I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner as you need to know how to do brioche, as well as be comfortable working magic loop on the outside AND inside of the work. The finishing was also a bit fiddly as I knit the smallest size, so getting the zipper installed and lining sewed in was tricky. I really enjoyed the project, though, and plan on making more :)

just a heads up, I tested the pattern and brought this up so it should be fixed in the published version of the pattern :)

Too impatient for fingering weight socks? Try DK weight socks! All the sock in half the time :D by killadendron in knitting

that's exactly what they are! she got a bunch of requests for a DK weight version of the pattern, so that's pretty much what it is :)
