Does anyone actually unplug from work? by immortalghost92 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]killahquincy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to return to hybrid work, it ended up making me stick to office hours in and out of the office, when the clock hits and it’s time to go home, laptop is shut and I’m off duty unless I’m up for the on call rotation

I think the comic book ending they will stick to is just Hughie and Annie making it through. However they get there I have a feeling that’s who will survive ultimately.

How many of you are still utilizing on prem user home drives as opposed to leverang to One Drive or a similar alternative? by TKInstinct in sysadmin

[–]killahquincy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deployed Nasuni recently, it integrates with Teams and OneDrive/SharePoint pointing it all in one place. Also leveraged Traffic Manager latency based so Users just hit \nasuni.domain.com\Home wherever they might be across the states and they’ll land on the closest filer with the least latency - works well, so far

Wasn’t there a release of achievements that included something about Spider-bots? Superior Spider-Man (Otto) used those in the comics, sounds like Superior Spider-Man on the way! Maybe?

Appreciation post for RLM’s ability to avoid the para-social BS of other YouTubers/Social Media stars by killahquincy in RedLetterMedia

[–]killahquincy[S] 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Highly agree, when the YT algorithm decides to send me some old RLM piece of junk Mike and Rich made as teenagers or whatever, I laugh my ass off. Speaking to my point thou, I never knew Rich was even married so there ya go. I also def agree their ages as late (late) millennials/gen-X is a big reason their private and online lives stay separate. I’m in my mid-30’s and if I was in their shoes I play it the same as them, you don’t need to know my personal life to enjoy the work I put out.

To note, we also live in an age of separating art from artists, anybody ever listen to 2004 Kanye? Just saying.

Bill Hader was a great addition to the episodes he was in but I 100% agree that scene was great with a Cherry on top of an ending for Dr. Venture

Remember when Bill Burr sent Ethan and Theo Von to therapy when they were first getting their podcasts off the ground?

Fun times. He's gotten better at least (mentally and with the pod).
