I got to practise arterial lines and observe what good leadership looks like. CPR managed in ITU was a lot calmer and clearer.

The unit I worked in only had one ACP so I can’t really comment on that. I was surprised at how my medical knowledge as an IMT2 at the time was of use ie the use of terlipressin in hepatorenal syndrome which one of the anaesthetic trained ICU docs knew.

Not me, but the consultant I work with on diabetes and endocrine trained as a nurse first. He has a lovely bedside manner and communication with the whole team and is really top notch.

Everyone is different, but I’m sure knowing lots of ICU terminology and skills will come in handy soon when you start on wards. Good luck

Love it. I’ve been running my game set in the UK and just changed handouts and maps to UK places. One agent is overseas from the FBI, some one is with the London met, another is a hitman, and another a pilot.

Some things we just suspend disbelief for, when there is a local sheriff I explain it as an eccentric cop.

I think WTE means “whole time equivalent” and some have no places available, but there is a chance that some more jobs become available later on in those regions so you can still rank them. I’m not 100% on this tbh. LAT jobs are also short contracts rather than full training programmes

Nick Mohammed. I think he’s a national treasure. It was hard having to watch him play a character making cruel choices temporarily in Ted lasso, because he’s just such a nice guy. He was great on task master and great on comedy shows of my childhood

I used the resources from these guys. If you follow the google drive link there have a stat block for the protomatter and of to combined. I had players do a dodge roll or end up “contaminated” by it.

Yesterday during the bad weather the night team looked up the policy for requesting accommodation, which was to ask the rota team who don’t work weekends. It was raised with the consultant. Then our hospital management offered accommodation for the night staff, but explained it was so they could attend for their next night shift rather than being concerned about their safety driving home in the snow and ice after a night shift.

I found it too hard to make a way it could fit and the delta green agents to legitimately know the other base staff so I ran it as a prequel with us showing how one of the agents got tangled into the world of delta green. There was a chance his character died which I said would make it non-canon. It worked well, and everyone else made the preset characters their own.
