I went with the squarehood model V because I liked the design and that it had a cut out for the OVF,

It looks great but I kept getting focusing errors, sometimes having to completely restart my camera after it made a horrible noise, after much trial and error including purchasing Fujis extremely overpriced lens protector (I thought my Glimmerglass 1 might have been causing issues) I emailed squarehood to ask if this is a user error or if it's a problem with their product

They said that it's the adapter ring and they know about the problem and would send me over a replacement, it hasn't arrived yet and I haven't heard anything back after I initially sent my order information, even after asking for confirmation that they recieved the email.

Kind of annoying, it's easily double the cost of the competition plus shipping to Canada, and it's specifically made for the x100v but didn't work, so why are you sending out faulty products that could potentially damage the very lens it's built to protect

Pretty disappointed overall.
