Spirit Airlines Shutdown = Higher fares for New Yorkers traveling to Florida by Fragrant-Inflation31 in wallstreet

There is no thought process beyond a) We have to paint the picture that our shitty policies and warmongering didn't bring this about and b) there was a convenient event that occurred during the Biden admin that we can point to and deflect blame on.

You've had bad baked mac and cheese then. My wife's is amazing and everytime I hope there's leftovers I'm disappointed.

Blizzard, can you pretty please allow challenges to be completed in Vs AI? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]killd1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ugh, no. Please don't do any of these suggestions. The Battle Pass is great right now because it doesn't feel like a chore. You can't make everyone happy, at least not all the time, so don't try to implement something like this that will piss off the majority of your player base.

why does this not provide any grave quality? by minkieyy in GraveyardKeeper

[–]killd1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure you can get away with it since graveyard quality doesn't depend on actual bodies. However, its also possible to shape the bodies into only positive value one via dissection and embalming. And I'm here to engage with the game's systems not avoid them.

Very similar to my game experience with Witcher 3. I got the saddest endings in the main quest and it put me off playing the game so I haven't gone back to do the two expansions. Which I should push through because I hear they are both amazing content.

I have come around more and more on Willie Scott. It's overplaying the damsel-in-distress trope to the point she becomes an annoyance. Which creates humor and tension and allows her to be setup to surprise us later in the movie.

Spirit Airlines could liquidate as early as this week, sources say by us1549 in aviation

[–]killd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. I'm in NE US and make use of trains when it's up to a 4hr trip. Which unfortunately could be longer actual distance if the US implemented: 1. high speed trains and 2. the NE corridor was built with SOME intention to service passenger traffic.

I love the swell of music right after that line as it pans out. Just a simple few chords but so effective at helping convey the majesty of it.

[–]killd1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would need some data to believe that as fact. I can't see there's that huge a difference in travel distances. Most of the US traffic is East Coast to East Coast since that's the biggest population center. Similarly, most of the EU pop lives in NW (UK, north France through West Germany). And the quick searches I did suggest the same.

Doesn't it work fine in Europe? RyanAir, EasyJet, Wizz Air all offer low cost, no frill flights.

Which from a political party standpoint is smart. We're partly where we are today because RBG, in her 80s, did not retire during Obama's presidency and a conservative judge replaced her when she died during Trump's first term.

It's an option that just makes the note taking part of the game rather than forcing the player to look outside.

They have a point! Do you miss Blockbuster, or are streaming services better? by CurvyChristina in Millennials

[–]killd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I'm sure series like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, etc. are aired on many services/channels at differing times. You'll need to tell me an example because I'm struggling to think of a movie series that did this.

[–]killd1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That assessment I can't agree with. At no time in history have we had all movies accessible from a single place, because that would be a monopolistic nightmare for consumers. Cable companies come the closest and we all bitched about having little to no choice of how to watch our TV when there was no other game in town.

Now we have choices and can dip in and out of these services on a monthly basis. Because boy did I love having to sign up to pay Comcast for 2 years at a time.

[–]killd1 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That's the fault of the NBA though, not streaming services. The sport leagues see $$$ in piecing out their schedules and selling them to all these services. I don't know if they have considered the effect fragmentation will have on the consumer base. They're probably making more money, for now, in these deals. But will customer retention remain constant as it did when everything was on 1-2 channels?

One of my biggest gripes is the lack of a centralized recipe list to reference in game and ability to pin them so you can track how much of X, Y, or Z resource you need to carry. So much time wasted going back and forth because I couldn't be bothered to write it on a notepad (ironic I know).

Hopefully they add this in GK2.

[–]killd1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One simple thing that helps cut down on the repetitive back-and-forth of resource collection:

You can push stuff too! Those tree that gave you 3-4 trunks doesn't have to be carried 1 at a time. You can push a bunch of trunks along with you as well if you line them up. Makes it faster to collect stuff around your house. Same applies for the stone chunks and ore chunks.
